What size garage can a builder build for $30,000

Here in KY I had a pro do a vinyl sided stick built with them pouring the pad on a 24x28 with a 6/12 roof for about 10K. No electric or finishining. It would run me another 500$ for every foot taller I wanted.

Specifically I'm talking about wire like what is linked here http://customcable.thomasnet.com/item/aluminum-cable/d-service-drop-cable-duplex-triplex-and-quadruplex/29005?&seo=110 I made the mistake of buying this...

HELP new garage build quality questions

Well I didn't have the time to do my own garage build so I farmed it out. Basic specs are as follows: 24Wx28Dx8.5H with a 6/12 pitch roof. Foundation is a 4" slab with 16" total depth along the edges, 4000psi fiber reinforced concrete. Paying 10,500 to a licenced GC to construct. The garage...

    Land ISSUES - Lawyers advise

Actually the validity/legality of the lease is in question as well. The wording of the contract is very unusual, as is the fact the land went thru a residential foreclosure.

    Land ISSUES - Lawyers advise

Wait to hear from the gov't and see what the Title company does. Contrary to some people's opinions it is not illegal to break the lease. It is done every day. This isn't the case of you taking the high road here, you are having your rights trampled and need to stand for your rights. The...

    Land ISSUES - Lawyers advise

Try posting this in the www.expertlaw.com forum usually pretty good advice. I'm betting on the insurance regulator on in MI helping out, even though I seriously doubt his lease is still valid.....The sheriff's sale on the foreclosure was final. Look at all the renters getting kicked out by...

    Land ISSUES - Lawyers advise

Have you contacted the entity that regulates insurance in MI? It would seem that the insurance company is not acting in good faith. Title Insurance is a regulated industry in MI Contact http://www.michigan.gov/dleg/0,1607,7-154-10555_12902---,00.html Typically calling the state regulators...

    New To Me Air Compressor...

From the nameplate its a 15A 240V motor. If you want to leave it outside you'll have to use weathertight connections. it will require running two breakers in a panel in order to operate, unless you have an existing 240V line in the garage. As for leaving it outside, does it rain? It will...

Has anyone ever used a prefab/modular garage?

Thanks for all the responses. Is anyone from the KY/TN area that can respond about local prefab builders? I'm not afraid to do a build myself, but timelines and other priorities make it worthwhile to farm the job out to a prefab co (I'm not willing to pay a contractor unless they are...

Has anyone ever used a prefab/modular garage?

I'm relocating to KY in about a month and am going to need to get a second garage. I don't have the time to do the whole thing myself, and the cost appears to be much cheaper than having it done onsite. Does anyone here have experience with a Modular/Prefab garage, the kind that they truck a...
