Oh, so are you saying instead of screwing them to the bottom of the trusses, you are suggesting putting them between the trusses and screw through the face of the truss into the the end of the 2x4?

Good morning! I am going to be buying lumber today to finish off my pole barn. I need to know what is the recommended spacing for the 2x4s I will be attaching to the bottom of the trusses to hang the metal panels? 2 feet? 3 feet? Also, the trusses are space 8' apart. Would you get 8 or 16...

I guess it wouldn't be entirely accurate to call them "cracks". They're more "ripples" along the seams really. And they're not huge...just enough to be noticed and bother me. :)

I actually just saw a post on this subject indicating it can be problematic to spray directly on the metal. What measures can I take to ensure the foam does not separate from the metal over time?

One thought I had was gluing 1x6s to the attic side of the ceiling with construction adhesive along all the joints and screwing the finished side of the drywall to those 1x6s to add more rigidity to the seams. Crazy idea or could it help?

It's cracking/coming apart at all the joints and yes he used mesh tape on all the joints. :(
