A little scrubbing, a Bluebolt kit, a little paint, some new hardware and the ol' girl is good as new!

Outlaw: I tried the 1/4" drive socket again with some light persuasion via a mallet. The socket just fit and was able to remove each of the 4 rods for painting. Slapped some paint on. Shouldn't be long now...

I just picked up a 3/8" drive Premium ratchet. It's too early for me to render good/bad but has been good so far.

The Bluebolt box arrived today. He wasn't kidding...there is some weight to these parts! Looking forward to some painting now and getting the ol' girl back together. Thanks again Bluebolt! :thumbup:

Well I just picked the vise up. My basement workbench houses a Reed 2C. Even if I don't do the repair on the Wilton, it will be a welcome addition to my garage workbench. Been working on a bench grinder rehab lately. Perhaps the Wilton is up next...or maybe the Reed... Thanks for your help...

I have a chance to pick up a Wilton vise on the cheap due to a damaged stationary jaw. Is there a good way to repair this?

Thanks Outlaw. The 1/4" drive socket was a little thick. Some crud/paint in there but is out of the way now. I'll have to try a nut driver this evening. Not critical if I can't get it. Just a detail thing.
