Seeking input from professionals. In the past, I always believed that more zones (air handlers) from a single compressor was less efficient. Mr. Cool is currently advertising a 6 zone system with a SEER2 ratting of 22 ! They spec all air handlers to be the same size, so this might not work...

I think OP is referring to the outside compressor unit.

My 2 comments about PEX after re-plumbing one house. Always use the largest diameter PEX that will work. Use as few elbows and splices as possible. For corners, use those external corner braces.

One thing that bothers me about "worm gear" clamps is that so many people OVER TIGHTEN them ! For very low pressure/vacuum spring hose clamps are cheap and adequate. I have an assortment of sizes.

If I lived in FL, personally I would stick with water source.
