i used xps for wall's ...it seemed tough enough to use on ceiling..not sure on 4' span though ......how about cat's or nailer's between trusses?

how big is your garage.... modine units seem to be well made...reznor are well made as well but abit more expensive i went with the big maxx ,mr. heater brand..competitive price...working well so far...
