    40x64 plans

yes I was planning on a footing and insulated 2x6 wall to hold up the attic trusses on the inside divider wall. As for a big door I figured the lift would be in the way, I would definitely have a man door somewhere between the two sections though.

any thoughts to doing a 2x6 and 2x4 offset stud wall to reduce the thermal bridging or is the 2x10 better? Im starting a 40x64 in the spring in alberta and also plan on over insulating and doing it once.

    calculating btu load

So my garage is already complete but im just curious as to how often my heater runs and how long. I should be able to just use a "Kill a watt" 110v meter on the cord to my modine 45000 btu heater. If I leave it for a week it should have a total kwh used for how often the fan runs correct? Based...

    walls for a 40x60

The reason for the 2x4 strapping was for screwing down the tin. And ive never worked with the icf blocks so im kinda leaning towards using lumber. And im not a fan of drywall in a shop. I would side the inside with either white tin or osb or plywood.

digging up my old thread. So garage is almost complete, I decided to hang a 45000 btu modine forced air unit which heats the garage really well. Now I just want to hook up the slab heat more for just finishing it up than actually using it. If I do use it I will keep the garage at a low temp...

im having a tough time finding someone to help me with the heat loss calc(i know more heat is required with the air exchanges for the humidity). Glycol will be mandatory. And I was planning on using the waterproof insulated pex if that was the route I went, that way I would have a little more...
