    which Honda generator to get?

I looked up Honda generators yesterday and haven't really found a difference between the two I'm interested in. The only differences that I can find is one has gfci oulets one one doesn't. Is this an important feature? The other is (what appears to me) to gradually ramp up the rpm based on load...

    Amerex fire extinguishers

Seeing the Kidde recall and mine aren't included, I think It's time for new extinguishers. Looking at 10lb Amerex's, price aside, which would be the best for the garage. Or should I bump it to 20 pounders? https://www.grainger.com/product/compare#compareSkus%3D3YWE1%2C3YWG1%2C13J003

where to get fuse panel latch?

I've successfully lost the plastic door latch on a Siemans fuse panel. None of the big box stores can get one. The local electrical supply house doesn't sell Sieman's and the Sieman website is horrible. There is not a part number on the latch on my other panel. Any ideas where I can get one...

I need drawer slides for the bench, #17, but I can not find a model number anywhere. The pictures are from the Craftsman 1972 catalog. Where to get Craftsman drawer slides?

I inherited a Craftsman workbench in need of drawer slides. I looked at sears.com/craftsman and craftsman.com with no luck. I looked through Waterloo tools website also with no luck. I think it is a 70's vintage bench. The slides are about 13 7/8" long. I found what I think it is in a 68 Sears...

    tap question

What's the difference between a plug tap and a taper tap? I need to tap some LS rocker covers, but there is a metal shield below the hole. Or, would a bottom tap be ok to start cutting the thread or use either a plug or taper tap to start and finish with the bottom tap? Thanks.

    prepping drywall before painting

I've finished my first attempt at hanging and mudding drywall. I've got the joints sanded. Before I paint it what should I do to make sure it is flat? Should I apply any sort of sealer before paint or use a primer? The walls were previously wall papered. If I went back to wall paper, would this...

Any experience with rfid card blockers?

I just got my first credit card that has the rfid chip in it. Call me paranoid, but I don't like carrying the thing around with me with the information on it easily stolen. Does any one have any suggestions on which of those rfid blocking sleeves I see advertised are better than another? Maybe...

    need alignment machine recommedation

We're looking to replace our John Beam visualiner with a new unit. I'm leaning towards a Hunter Hawkeye. The JB software wasn't written to accurately work with the -3+ degrees of camber we sometimes use. We've compensated for it using a level and ruler to determine camber, but that is not 100%...
