    Copper pro press for airlines?

X-posting this from my shop thread for more eyeballs / advice in regards to airlines. I’m building out a new ski / bike shop. I used copper years ago in my first home shop when it was relatively cheap and it worked great. I used Black Iron in the current home shop and it was quite a bit more...

    DN2.7 pneumatic quick connectorS?

Ok who makes a quality DN2.7 pneumatic quick connector? I’ve been using some standard miltobs on my nitrogen shock filling setup, but they leak like crazy especially when the pressures are 2-500 psi. A euro company make some specialty zero loss filling adapters but they use the DN2.7...

    Best Hex / Torx sockets?

Lots of threads here on Hex keys, but not so much on hex and Torx sockets. I'm looking to build out a few workstations, and don't mind spending the money for the best. These will get used daily by my techs. I've been a big fan of PB Swiss and finally broke the first one after almost 20 years...

I need a PCB vise. Recommendations?

I got a bunch of small PCBs to work on as well as small connectors to de/ re pin. I got a ton of high quality vises ranging from a Wilton 3C, 5” dawn offset and a 4” Starrett and Reed 3C. But none of them are the correct tool for this job. What’s the best option for doing PCB work and holding...

    Microscopic electronic repair. How to?

This is a torque sensor assembly out of an electric motor. Replacement board or any parts for that matter are not available from mfg. I found it failed due to this tiny part not being fully soldered to the board. Not sure if it’s a resistor or diode or what. Finger print for scale. Here...

    Smart commercial door locks

At home I have August smart locks on all of the exterior doors and love them. Infact I have no idea where my actual key is. I’m opening a new shop / commercial store front and one of the issues is I have bums sleeping in the door way every morning. After leaving the shop last night I kept...

Need Air Compressor recommendations, must be quiet. (14.1CFM at 105 PSI)

Hi Guys, I know there is a ton of Air Compressor threads on here. I am setting up a new Ski / Bike service center and will need a much larger compressor than the tiny Makita I've been using for years in my garage. I'm looking at bringing in a large robotic ski tuning machine This machine...

Metal peg board and other options

I’m getting close to building out a new shop. One area that I need to address is peg board. I keep most of my tools in my Lista cabinets, but I have a lot of Jigs that are frequently used and too large for drawers. Standard peg board eventually gives out and then jigs come crashing down...

School me on de-soldering motor connections to a PCB

I have a motor that I need to remove the control board from so I can pull the motor from its housing to replace the shaft bearings. I’ve removed the screws that hold the board to the motor, but I now need to De-Solder these three connectors. Each of the tabs is roughly 2mm wide. I haven’t...

    Need a good nitrogen regulator

I need a new nitrogen regulator. The Chineseium one I’ve been using from Amazon is really hard to adjust when changing working pressure. My typical working pressure is between 100-500 psi as I use it for charging shocks.

    Small bearing puller needed

Hey guys, I’m in search for a bearing puller that would fit these 22mm OD bearings. This is the easy one as bearing separator should work, but I haven’t found one thin enough to slide into that gap to separate it. This one is trickier. Once again bearing OD is 22mm and gear ID is only 38mm...

    kerfed trim system?

We are in the process of finishing the design on a second home build down in Sedona. Our GC recommended we use a kerfed trim system instead of standard door / window casing and base boards. It seems like it produces a nice clean look, but before we commit to it, what are the downsides...

Replacement Snapon Instinct / PBSwiss / Wera, etc handles

I replace a lot of O-Rings each day and these brass O-Ring tools are the best I’ve found and actually hold up really well. Problem is they feel like **** in the hands. Anyone know what SnapOn model number is for an Instinct grip that would fit a .1800 shaft? 3/16 would be close enough that I...

    Thoughts on a Sunnen LBA660

Got an opportunity to pickup a Sunnen LBA660 for essentially free. Not sure if it has any of the mandrels. How hard are these to come by?

Just picked up a pretty bad *** floor crane / cherry picker / engine hoist.

Found this guy on craigslist locally for less than the cost of a Snapon wrench... For scale the legs have a 3' spread between them so it will easily straddle a Bridgeport mill. Supposedly its only got a 2000LB capacity. I'm calling BS on that when a Horror Freight model is listed for that...
