New SO 100 Gear tooth ratchet?!

http://image.snapon.com/international/pdf/fhnf100_npa.pdf I think that's the first ratchet I know of to reach that tooth count. Hey it's USA too, I figured they stopped making those round heads forever, and any return would be China. Your turn Matco!

http://image.snapon.com/international/pdf/hcl16_npa.pdf Couldn't even ask Vaughn eh? I think they're officially there now. China, that is.

At least they didn't call it EPIQ??

I'd pay more if it would push itself!!

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?search=true&item_ID=84076&PartNo=tmul8&group_id=111&supersede=&store=snapon-store&tool=all I've been waiting for one of these to come out. Only by the time the locking joint is on the fastener, who many times will I have run out of room because of the...

    SO "Sale" Price?!

I think SO is trying to quickly up their costs, because their sale prices are more than their standard prices. Anyone think this is their "energy surcharge"? Case in point...

    Matco MT2858 Air Ratchet Video

So here's the video to that ratchet I posted about a few months ago. I still wouldn't buy that thing. I like my hands, they're cut up and beat enough as it is. I saw that ratchet on the Matco truck, they're making them in Taiwan.

How do these torque sticks work?

I just got these today: http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/tools.asp?tool=all&Group_ID=2219&store=snapon-store I tried the 100 ft lb on a Ford Escape, and had the MG725 on full blast.. it stopped at a certain point. I checked the torque with a wrench it was 100 ft lbs. What I don't understand is...

    MG725 video, I'm good at finding these aren't I?

Well they got the rock music down. I have this impact. It does seem to be really powerful (I don't even feel any resistance when taking off wheel lugs), having tested it against, say, a Honda crank bolt yet though. Apparently this might be SO's corporate youtube account:

A Genuine Snap-On Hand Tool, from China!

http://image.snapon.com/international/pdf/wbsswirebrushesnew.pdf A snowball always starts small. I guess they think they won't sell as Blue Point. I've noticed in the new catalog, SO isn't taking pride in mentioning their products are Made in USA, like their air tools and some of their...

Best Tool You've Found in a Car?

Yesterday I was doing a regular oil change and noticed something shiny stuck between some metal on the fenderwell edge.. So I pryed it out, and out popped a shiny Matco ratcheting wrench. It has a offset box about 15 degrees on one end and a ratchet straight 8mm box on the other end. It looks...

    Snap-On QC??

So I ordered a 11" wobble-plus extension from my SO dealer last week. Well, when the extension gets here, there is no ball in the drive. I've seen a wrench on his truck where the box end was a perfect circle. It was even polished inside where the 12-point should've been! How does that get by...

    Work Surface for Bigbox

So every now and then I need to hammer something into oblivion, and my box is right there, but I don't want to dent the top of it; so I have to go to the work bench across the shop. SO's work surfaces are, even the wood ones, out of my price range ($300+). Has anyone fabricated a wood top...

    Air Powered Piston Compressor

http://video.sirtools.com/ Seems like a neat idea for dedicated brake and tire shops. I already have one I use from SO that is for hand use, but there is a bold welded on it, so I just stick an air ratchet on it. It does seem pretty nice for rear brakes, but you still have to turn it yourself.

    Matco MT2858

The Matco guy mentioned a new air ratchet they have coming out.. it's 3/8" 130 FT lb air ratchet. Doesn't that seem a little insane? for $330 I might buy IF there was no kickback. I would just be afraid to use that anywhere remotely in a tight spot.

    Matco Toolbox Configurator

Matco has a neat toolbox configurator. You can even customize your drawer lay out. I already got a big SO, but I wonder how many sales this'll actually get them. http://www.matcotools.com/ At the top.

    Snap-On Pocket Screwdriver

This is probably one of SO's best deals you can get, a pocket screwdriver: The tip doesn't bend nearly as easily as those promotional screwdrivers, and I imagine it's guaranteed for life too! I use it for disconnecting connections and prying off stuck-on brake bleeder boots and drum adjiuster...

    New 1/4 72 teeth Snap-On ratchet T72

I got a new SO ratchet today.. it's the 1/4 version of the F80, very nice, straight handle, feels just like the F80, haven't opened it up yet though. Apart from that, it looks like a mini F80
