    My $25 Wilton #655

Got it off a buddy who is cleaning up shop. Not the best vise, jaws are cracked and welded on. Unsure if the nut for the moving jaw is correct for this vise or not? But everything works and is better than that little dinky 3" China vise I was using before. I'm sort of contemplating tig brazing...

    My swap meet finds

All these years I've never owned a "normal" set of pliers. Now I have a couple for home at shop. First trip I scored 2 sk extentions, smaller proto pliers and larger older cresent pliers. $5 for the lot. 2nd trip I snagged old German elbersmit pliers and USA cee tee Co pliers (I've never heard...

    Knipex high leverage cutters

My buddy has a few of these 10" cutters. Which are over 10 years old and still kick *** today. He even uses them to cut small bolts and screws. I picked up a pair for myself and noticed a few differences. The head on new one is about an 1/8" fatter, the curve on the handle is less pronounced...

    Blue point air ratchet rebuild

AT700E MADE IN JAPAN I've had this ratchet for quite some time. I haven't been using it alot lately but I've been noticing some issues. The ratcheting feels like it's starting to seize. Very hard turn by hand. Actually impossible to do without a socket attached. It becomes loose fairly easy in...

    Re shaping body hammers

Any tricks of the trade to get a body hammer back into even shape after someone ruined them? Bought a couple hammers that have an Un even crown and quite rough. The only thing I can come up with is belt sander with constant and consistent movement.

    Not so sticky spray glue?

Im using some black speaker box carpet as a tool box liner. Works really well on the smaller trays and lighter weight tools. But the bigger and heavier stuff like to pull the carpet and bunch it up a little bit. I was thinking spray glue if there is one that would work well and not be sticky...

    Snap on body hammer question

Purchased my first snap on body hammer # bf632b on the bay. It said looks to be unused which I take with a grain of salt. I won it for less then half of the price on the snap on website so I can't really complain. Question is. The griND of the face seems a bit rough I can almost file my...

Die hard 1150 jump pack issue

I've had this pack for a few years. And a issue started about a year after I had it. When I charge or try to check percentage of charge, the display only shows 888888 across the board. Nothing in the manual says anything. I also tried calling sears and no help there. It still seems to work fine...

Can i save this hammer handle

Got myself a donkey **** body hammer a bit back. The handle came with a little bit of a wiggle, and while sitting in the garage it adjusted to the weather here and is now a little bit more loose. No where near loose enough to slip off. Just a bit of a wiggle. It's an Indestro super, with...

Just picked up this indestro super 953 hammer for $30 on the ebay. Discription specifically mentioned solid handle with a firmly attached head.. which isn't quite the case. F732 ratchet question

Just picked up a f732 snap on ratchet , I was curious if it's possible to turn this thing into a quick release dual 80? I'm hoping I like the flex head on this ratchet. I have a craftsman quick release flex head with bent handle that I enjoy at home, but craftsman is a ball detent style. I...

    Choosing a mig gun

I have a lincoln weld pak 180hd, some how the gun vanished during a "remodel" of the shop. I am a big fan of the magnum 100l that it came with. It's small light weight and comfortable. Trying to find factory magnum 100l is proving to be hard since alot of aftermarket companies are using the same...
