    Gas & Sewer line

I've been contemplating a new approach to my sewer situation from the shop to the main drain line in the house. I'm going to trench out the basement slab, provided I can get the right pitch, and connect the 2 under the slab. Since I would be going through all this work, would it be possible to...

    Anyone name this lift?

I called on it this morning and he says there isn't any info/stickers on this lift. So I was wondering if anyone here would be able to identify it by the shape of the arms or posts or well...anything. Seems like a decent buy, just don't know what brand...

    Ammco Lift

Found this morning https://anchorage.craigslist.org/tls/d/ammco-vehicle-hoist/6401972307.html and was wanting info on it. My google-fu doesn't seem to be working. I'm trying to find out all the specs on it, concrete depth needed and such before I go look at it. Does anyone know anything about...

    Garage Door Tracks

I'm about to purchase some used doors which the make are unknown. I was just curious if all garage door tracks are pretty universal. I've never really looked at them that hard before and this just popped in my head. These are just standard height tracks and I want to make them into high lifts...

    Faced and Visqueened

Is it a bad idea to use faced (paper) batts and then follow up with visqueen on the interior? The batts that I have do not have the staple flap edge but it does sit somewhat tight in the cavity. I still think I need to visqueen it off as it isn't that "tight".

Branching off of a welder outlet

So - I'm still wiring up the shop and came up with what I think might save me some wire and want to see if this is feasible. I have a home run 6/2 on a 50 amp to the welding outlet. This is routed through the trusses and then down the wall. I was wondering if I could tap into that 6/2 in the...

    Building in stages through seasons

So, the thread in the heating section (Leaving my building unheated for the winter) got me thinking about my situation. I'm in the process of building a 40x40x14 addition to my existing shop 32x28x9.5. I'm at the point of open studs/trusses, the metal roof is on, the osb sheeting is on but...

    Feit Electronic LED bulbs

I just scored 34 2 bulb T8 fixtures for $200 :rocker:, so now I need to find some LED's to run. At Home Depot yesterday I saw these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Feit-Electric-32W-Equivalent-Cool-White-4-ft-Linear-LED-Light-Bulb-10-Pack-T848-841-LED-MP-10/206760726 For this price, it's crazy...

    How Close?

So, while I"m planning on the build of the new shop addition, I'm trying to figure out how close the 2 post lift needs to be to the front wall. I won't have anything infront (tool boxes) of the vehicle on the lift, so what would be ideal space needed. The shop is going to be 40x40 and I'd still...

    Bunker/Panic Room with radiant ceiling

Hello GJ people! After a ton of searching here and the web, I just can't seem to find an answer. Maybe it's just too broad of a question and I don't know what words to use in the search. I'm in the infancy stage of planning a 40x40 extention on my existing garage (32x28) and am wanting to put a...
