    I have a rheem 50 gallon water heater i want to use for domestic water in my shop. It's has a hot water pipe coming out the top, but no cold water pipe coming out the top. My question is, can I bring cold water into it from the bottom tap on the tank? Like what's in the picture.

Would it be OK to put something like hockey pucks under the tank so any moisture or condensation doesn't sit in direct contact with the tank.     Hot water tank breaker size

    Have a rheem 50 gallon hot water tank with 4500 watt elements. What size breaker. 3000 watt elements require a 20 amp from what I can see. But not sure about 4500 watt elements. Should it be a 30 amp with 10 gauge or not? Thank you

    12 gauge or 10 gauge hot water tank?

    This is more curiosity than anything else. My 50 gal hot water tank has 4500 w elements. My wire running to it is 10 gauge. Why does rheem use 12 gauge wire from where the initial hook up is on the top of the tank? It's on a 30 amp breaker

    Teflon on hot water tank element

    Me again. Conflicting views on this. What's the general consensus for using sealant on replacement heating element for my hot water tank. The element has a rubber o ring. Is that not enough? Thanks again for all the help

    Water tank element

    Turned on my hot water tank after the summer and noticed the water wasn't heating up. Took covers off and noticed this burned wire. Going to replace element on the burned wire top element. Should I replace both at same time or not. And what would cause this?

    Attach 2 by 6 to sides of stair stringers

    Have 3 sixteen foot 2 by 12 stair stringers and am thinking of attaching 16 foot 2 by 6 to the 2 outside ones for added support all the way up. Anyone know if there is a code for how they are attached? 3 inch nails? Or screw and glue? Thanks for the help

    Taco relay wiring

    Can't figure out why my taco relay isn't sending power to my pump. As you can see in pictures, I have 24 vac to r and w inside relay. Also have 24vac to r and com.     Expansion tank pressure

    Have almost finished my infloor heating using a hot water heater and grundfos pump. My expansion tank is pre charged to 40 psi. Should I lower the pressure on it?

    Expansion tank placement

    I'm building a closed loop infloor heat system using a 40 gallon hot water tank. Wondering if the expansion tank should be on the hot side or cold side. I've seen different answers but I'm leaning towards the hot side. Anybody have thoughts on this? Cheers
