Harbor freight 2 hp fixed base?

I was looking for just a cheap router to mount in a table since I have a hitachi combo router kit already and I really don't want to permanently mount it in the table in case I need to plunge rout. I saw this at harbor freight for $49 and with a coupon it would be closer to $40, but it looks...

    Continuous Grain Box

I was just fooling around for about an hour in the garage and thought I'd attempt a continuous grain box out of some scrap I had on the table saw. I thought it was pretty cool, although I def need some practice to get it perfect next time: Before Finish and Sanding: After:

    Table saw conundrum....

Ok, I bought an older model Delta contractor saw for around $75 about a year ago because I was thinking in my head that I wanted a larger table saw for doing plywood cuts and something a little smoother, but the reality is, it just takes a large footprint in my garage, although I'd love to get...

Deal of the year for me..

I went to lowes and of course browsed through the tool section as always even though I stopped there for light bulbs. Haha anyway, they had the hitachi 12" dual compound miter saw still marked for $199 (on sale through labor day in fine print). Under the saw it had another sign that said it came...

Pics of new Decoria Flooring in garage....1/2 done

Here's a few pics of my Decoria commercial vinyl tile. Size is 18x18 black and white with flecks. I almost went with smooth and shiny black and white in the same tile, but decided for a garage, that would be too much work to keep clean. It should be completed by Monday so I'll take pics...

Hitachi cj110mv on sale at lowes $49.99

I just picked up that hitachi jigsaw for $49.99 on sale at lowes today. Last week it was $89 and in amazon it goes for $93 and the cheapest I could find reconditioned was $56. I read it's a decent jigsaw and for $50 it puts it a little more expensive than the standard skilsaw $30 jigsaw.

    Venlic vice

My father left me a 3 1/2" vice from a brand I've never heard of and I was just seeing if there is any info out there on it. It's a brand called venlic and I think the model is 340. Anyone ever heard of em?

    Lubing vice??

I'm trying to restore an old Wilton 4" torco vice that was my grandfathers. I have it all stripped down of rest and painted it, but what should I use to lube the screw mechanism? I'll take pics when done. I was so mad because the paint wasn't completely dry and I set it on the slightly tacky...

Which product: VCT or Decoria LVT?

I work in the flooring business and I just can't personally decide on a standard red and black checkerboard pattern using VCT and sealing it or to spend a little more money and get the Decoria LVT black and white checkerboard. This product is a commercially rated product with a static load...

Took the plunge to try Eastwoods MIG 175with spoolgun

I purchased one of eastwoods new mig welders. It was $499 with free shipping. 220v system with 175 amps, infinite voltage and wire speed and a spool gun. I've been using Lincolns sp135 which is a decent machine that I've learned to weld on, but I wanted something a little more powerful with...

    Changing 220v 20 amp to 30 amp?

I have a subpanel in the garage that is rated to 100 amps on the box. It has a 110v 15 amp and a 220v 20 amp breaker on it. The 220v 20 amp controls an old garage heater that will be pulled in favor of a 220v receptacle. I just bought a 220v welder that will be pulling over 20 amps. Is it...

    Running wires outside of walls

I need some more outlets in my garage and I was wondering if it was possible to just use outdoor wiring and outdoor metal junction boxes on the outside of walls to run the electric instead of cutting the wall open? I only need about 4-5 more outlets along the wall. Is this feasable?
