    Another what is it

Got this in the wrong sub forum. Will re-post here. A K-D mystery tool. According to PCustoms it is an ignition point alignment tool. I have installed a small bucket full of ignition points and never knew they needed alignment or how to accomplish said task.

    Garage heaters

    Old wiring without ground.

First let me state that I absolutely hate well houses. So, to start, I got called to re-wire an old wellhouse (pit). The wire coming into the well house is buried under concrete, so we have to deal with what we have. It is old 12 UF without a ground. I ran it into a 4" square metal box and from...

    High altitude furnace recomindation

I have a small cinderblock shop that has a small office attached. Living at an elevation of 8,000' many furnaces have an oxygen depletion sensor that won't let the furnace work above 4,000' maximum. The office is small but in need of heat. I was thinking of a free-standing vent free or a small...

Left at ease it has 2 small wire "ears" projecting opposite of each other near the tip. When the tool is placed in your...

    Tape measure clamp

Having a bad habit of collecting tools with no knowledge what they are or how to use them, I have, thanks to Google Lens, found out what one item I have had for years is. It is a tape measure clamp to pull tight a tape. Looks like a pair of scissors handles with no blades. I have trouble posting...

    Yerkes-Plum broadax question

I recently acquired a vintage Yerkes-Plumb broadaxe head with the poll instead of being flat, instead has a set of 3 initials cast proud onto the poll. The few times I worked as a logger we would mark the trees we fell with marked initials but with a colored grease pencil. Could this be the...

Over the years and different owners, decks have been replaced and stained. The problem I am having is, each deck has a different color stain. It has been 5 years since we...
