    Help design/choose the right lift!

Ha! Tried to appease the masses by going with a 2 and 4 post plan right off the bat!

    Help design/choose the right lift!

detached structure. Would love a 3 car , but not feasible in the city and our 0.3 acre lot--city busting our balls about the current footprint as is. will have additional outside parking, which my wife is inclined to use becasue she comes and goes frequently anyway. This will end up 99% hobby...

    Help design/choose the right lift!

Definitely going to have a 4 post on "side b". Question is becoming, thanks to comments here, smart lift or maxjax on "side a". If I run into issues with build team than I am thinking I am just going to have them pour some heavy pad sections so I can decide what I want to do on "side a" later.

    Help design/choose the right lift!

My apologies. I was rushing with the kiddo screaming in my ear as I posted. I am aware of the benefits of the in ground lift and all about it. Originally asked my architect to plan around the SL210-RA but he found the SL210-MP8 as a more suitable unit for the space and constraints. That unit...

    Help design/choose the right lift!

I originally envisioned a 9k or 10k 2 post and 4 post, but was worried about wife getting pissed off having to use the garage to park cars when not in use, so I thought a rotary smartlift would be a reasonable compromise. Architech came up with with SL210-MP8, which I was not familiar with be...

Looking for: Elgee Billy Goat like vacuum

Gotcha. I stumbled across this last night and it is the closest thing I have found so far. Memory is a funny thing, and the last time I saw that vacuum I was about 9 years old in the early 90s. https://www.k-bid.com/auction/9146/item/3

Looking for: Elgee Billy Goat like vacuum

it definitely wasn't steel. My father let it sit outside year round in the PNW and the only rust was on the engine and handles, which were porbably chromed at some point.

Looking for: Elgee Billy Goat like vacuum

Need the experts help on this one. I have looked intermittently over the years and have never come up with anything. My father had a large gas powered vacuum when I was growing up in the 80s. Even then it was old and powered by what I think was a 1960s or 70s B&S gas engine. It looked...

    New garage build!

Looking like 24 x 24 will be the largest I can build due to space constraints. Anyway, I am looking at putting in a Challenger SA10 vs CL10 lift on one side and a 1T bridge crane to cover the entire space, including over the lift. I have looked at PWI (hoistzone.com). Any other resources for...

Proto Torque Wrench 6012C PART NEEDED

I bought a Proto torque wrench at auction. One of the screws was broken and the crown washer missing. I replaced the screw with an appropriately sized machine screw, but still need a crown washer. Any ideas? Don't want to pay for a rebuild kit since everything else is present and working.

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

Still debating Makita vs Milwaukee, but trying to settle before the holiday sales are over. I know the Milwaukee trigger control was not as good as the Makita, as in went 0-full power with little modulation. Have they fixed that with the newer tools. Primarily looking at drill and impact...

    MC cable under raised house?

I need to run some cable under my raised house to supply a couple exterior outlets. Is MC cable legit to run under the house until I make the bend to the outside outlet?
