    I found some track at the side of the line....had to lift the fence a little to slide it out, very early on a Sunday morning, not many people about.

    Used 2 extra long drill bits that I bought in '79/81 ?? in Fort Worth to drill out a couple of inaccessible pop rivets. Have used them occasionally, but they made this job so quick and easy.

    The old compressor that has lived under the bench for 30 years drops pressure over a not very long time, gets disturbing with the compressor kicking in.     A Humble Aussie Shed Build

    I've seen a couple of great retaining walls made from old car tyres, "just" lay them on the ground, fill with excavated dirt, ram dirt down, place another layer on top, repeat till you've reached the top. Maybe a few zip ties or fencing wire to hold them together.

    Ah, yes, the NZ milk crates. such a clever idea. Great for carrying milk bottles, but absolutely useless for anything else. And hence nobody steals them!

    I needed a piece of tube 16mm ID to fit over a piece of pex pipe, found some aluminium tube about 15mm , filed for ages with a round file, ...very little difference. Found a rusty auger bit about the right size, had to mount the pipe vyce, with brace and bit the thing cut out as quick and easy...

    The clamp thingy is a Zyliss vyce, originally from Switzerland, I've got a couple. Best thing...maybe not ever, but for a long time!
