    Craftsman Griplatch tool box

I just checked. The prices are insane. More insane that Snapon.

    Craftsman Griplatch tool box

Your picture looks like a griplatch tool box. Too bad, I'd buy one over a Snapon any day. I found a used one, I may check it out.

    Craftsman Griplatch tool box

I have griplatch tool boxes, 8 drawer bottom rollaway. I love it. I want another one, and can't find it anywhere. Did Sears do away with them ? I brought a Harbor freight tool box, and hate the drawers, and latches.

Distance between lift & side wall

My drivers side lift post will be against a wall. How far off the wall should I go ? I need room to open the car door, and room to do a brake job comfortably. I have plenty of room on the passenger side of the car. It will be a 2 post lift.

    Lift Installation

I see all lifts require a fork lift at the unloading destination. How do you guys handle this ? Do you rent one for the delivery day ? or have an installation company do the entire unloading & installation?

    2 post lift

I have 12'6" height. and at least 12'6" width. and I can go wider if necessary. One thing most important to me, is NOT banging my head. As important to me is not banging the car door. Positioning the car forward & rearward is limited. That position will have to be precise, as I have...

    2 post lift

I will spend money so I don't whack my head. For a weekend hobby, I'll buy Chinese. That don't bother me. But American may be cheaper now with the Trump steel tariffs. I'm going home tonight, and I will take height measurements.

    2 post lift

Is it hard to not whack the door when getting in-out of a vehicle ? Especially on a suburban which is slightly wider than a sports car. If there is no top bar, it looks like you can set the posts wider apart, correct?

    2 post lift

Do you like the lift ? I'm 6'2" tall, so 6'3" with boots. I would like to be able to stand up while changing oil. Do I need extra high lifting capability ?

    2 post lift

A Suburban is 5800lbs. Figure 6000lbs with fuel, with cargo carp. So a 7000lb lift is fine. I don't have room for overkill. I have a pitched roof, so probably 12' on the low end. I have to measure it.

    2 post lift

I'm set on a 2 post lift. So I can do brakes, take off wheels, etc. Heaviest largest thing I'll ever lift is a suburban. Any recommendations ?

    Ceiling Height

I'm renovating my garage. I heard 12' clear is a good height for a lift. However, I plan to add a lift, and work under my Suburban. Not sure a 2 post, or 4 post. But something where I can pull the wheels, and do suspension work on my Suburban. What is the min ceiling height? I'm...

    40 x 24

I'm very limited due to strict building codes, and a preexisting building. I think I will fit 1 suv, and 1 car on each side, and then it should be ok. 2 suburban's tandem may not make it. But a car & suburban will make it.

    40 x 24

I have plans to reconstruct a barn, into a 40 x 24 tandem 4 car garage. Garage doors on the 24' side. Would that fit 4 big cars (SUV's) 2x2 nicely??? I'm limited by the town on what I can do.

    Excess current draw from refrigerator

How long do the batteries last? What if leaves & snow covers the panels? How long can you stay off grid ? I see you can max draw about 29 amps at 120v... that's actually pretty decent if you're not running A/C.

    8.5' garage doors

Do they make 8.5' wide garage doors ? Do to an existing foundation, my architect speced out an 8' wide door. But they are just too narrow. A 9' door will not fit. I don't thing my suburban will fit though an 8' door !

LED bulbs that successfully work with electric Garage Door Openers

While the FEIT bulbs do work, they hum like crazy. I had to pull them out of my bathroom, and kitchen. The hum is intolerable, and I'm 1/2 deaf.
