    Hoover ONEPWR cross-compatibility?

With Hoover being owned by the same parent company as Milwaukee and Ryobi, why are they using their own proprietary battery? It seems that Hoover and Ryobi are selling at least 2 vacuums that are the exact same thing but the Ryobi versions use their own batteries which are substantially...

    Anyone use Quick Jack ?

It depends on what you're doing. You gotta have a pretty big floor jack and 4 tall jack stands if you want to raise all 4 wheels of the car to 21". It also seems a whole lot safer on the Quickjack. You're gonna raise one end of the car 20"+ up and put it on jack stands on a massive tilt then...

    Masks empty shelves?

There's no real reason you can't reuse one, just don't touch the outside of the mask with your hand then touch your face when you're not wearing it. This is making me glad I keep a few of these in stock and a P100 mask just for general shop use.

    Tools of Japan

I've never ordered tools from Amazon.jp before so I though I'd give it a try. I should have done this before! The transaction was very easy and this all shipped from Japan in like 3 days for $12 shipping. The entire order cost was $65. I picked up 2 pairs of pliers and a Tone ratcheting 21mm...

    Felo Tools, any good?

They have the most comfortable screwdriver handles. Made in Germany, really nice. I like them better than Vessel.

    Tools of Japan

Got a bunch of new tools in the mail today. First off a major upgrade to my socket rails. The Nepros rails were actually very affordable and look nice as expected. The ends are solid metal and the socket holders are some kind of sticky rubber material with silver flakes. I also picked up...

Impressive Amazon road side impact wrench

Clearly the only solution here is for someone else to buy it (not from the affiliate link) and test it on their Honda crank bolt. I don’t have a Honda so... not it. I that that tool is pretty cool though. I think a cool project would be to modify one to use lithium primary batteries so you...

New Hazet ratcheting wrenches vs used Snap-On vs something else?

I saw those and I really love that they are 6 point, but unless I'm mistaken they aren't reversible and I also heard they have some quality control issues?

New Hazet ratcheting wrenches vs used Snap-On vs something else?

Looking for a good set of metric ratcheting combination wrenches. Yes I know this comes up a lot but practically all the topics are about Gearwrench and I don't usually see other brands compared. I want combination wrenches that are reversible, all sizes 8-19mm if possible. The Hazet 606 I'm...

    Tools of Japan

I posted a while ago about the Koken bolt extractors.. well I ended up buying a set from Frank's and they came in the mail today. They come in long and short and I decided to go with the long ones even though they were more expensive because I could foresee situations where the bolt breaks off...

    Best 1/4" ratchet

I don't know if it's the very best but my Nepros in blue chrome is the best looking!

does anyone know who manufactures the Snap-on Cordless ratchets?

Actually it's not the same, I've noticed that things assembled in the USA are consistently worse and more slapdash than things made pretty much anywhere else.

How do you handle garage work requests?

I'm a non-professional so I'm always looking for a project to do. There's only so many things I can do to my own cars. Plus none of my friends are mooches so if they do ask for something I have no problem helping out.

    Snap-On in the Operating Room

Well.. that sounds like all of us here who will pay a ton of money for a tool when the Harbor Freight version does approximately the same thing.

    Tools of Japan

Has anybody tried these Koken bolt extractors? I have a bolt I’ve been fighting with and it looks like you could put one of these on an impact wrench and get better results than my attempts with an easy-out and a tap wrench have netted: https://www.frankstools.com/koscexsers.html

Tools you bought but don’t use?

Handheld saws: ain't nobody got time fo that! I bought a handheld hack saw and small wood saw each for individual small projects, and after that I never touched them again. It sucked using them so much that the next time I had a sawing need I just bought a powered one - now I go straight to...
