Yeah you want to put a epoxy down first. I used sherwin williams macropoxy than put rexthane over that. Holding up very well. 20 gallons of rexthane will do 9000 sq feet give or take . If you have any extra I will take it off your hands for you, I would like to put another coat down :bounce:!

I think i may have a bad thermostat. I noticed it kicks on or off when the temp only moves by a half a degree. So that would make sense for the really short cycle time. Someone was telling me honeywell has a cheap digital thermomstat that goes down to 40 over at the depot.

When I epoxied my garage floor I used muratic acid to etch it and I just let it go down my asphalt driveway and it left streaks all over it. I had it seal coated and they are all gone now. I dont think it will ruin it, but it will stain it for sure if you dont really hose it down after your done.

If you do use the rexthane I hope you plan on not staying there for a good week the stuff has a really strong odor to it. When I did my garage ( its attached ) with it, I had my doors open a foot and my wife could smell it in the basement pretty strong.
