Wow, lots of work to this point! Do you guys work on much else on a daily basis?
Does the customer ever stop in to check progress or are they just waiting for the turnkey unit to be picked up?
Also I'm curious (if its appropriate to discuss) how the payment is handled, do you get regular progress payments for materials and such or is it just a lump sum all at the end?

Where's the love folks?
I really expected to get some affirmations now that this build is sitting on the ground.
Do any of you people actually work on cars in your garages? LOL![]()

That truck is killer, Robert. I am very jealous of your skills and progress. Did you use the No Limit front end as well as the rear? I love the stance and ride hight. Did you modify the front end to get it that low? I'm getting ready to start on my 56 Chevy p/u soon and have a Heidt's Superide II that is going in and I'm thinking of notching the crossmember an inch to drop it a little lower. Do you think that is a wise thing to do?
Keep up the posts with progress. I'm color blind so you will have to tell me your color scheme.
Mike

What color are you doing the frame and will it be gloss? That gets me in the mood to work on my 56 sbss.
Mike

I just found your thread today, and wanted to say that the mods you have done to the frame are fantastic! It's great that you got lucky with the ****** change, and didn't have to redo your fab work to get it to fit.
The following thought is not meant to be derogatory toward you or Greg...but looking at the front suspension, I don't like how No Limit designed the brackets to allow the ends of the A-arm bushings to be unsupported. It looks like it might put too much strain on the long mounting bolts. Just my view anyway, from here in the cheap seats.
One question regarding the floor coating in your shop. What is it & how long have you had it down? I don't see many marks on it, so I assume it's pretty strong. Or you are super careful on that side.
Anyway, love the build, I'm looking forward to your continued progress!

Yea I did not care for that dangling lower control arm either. So I built a mount welded to the frame on the rear.
You can almost see it in this picture, I can get a better shot if you like
This is something Rob @ No Limit does on his own race truck and I understand on his full frames now too, We did it as soon as we had it mocked up.
The Floor is a 3 part epoxy, and it is tough but scratches up something terrible with steel caster wheels. We try to remember and toss down mats when we are rolling heavy items, We also have converted all our casters to urethane and that has helped a lot.![]()
