Blue - Was that the sale in Salem with all the radio vacuum tubes ?
I was there yesterday, some of the prices were high on the first day. But the guy was easy to deal with on untagged items. I saw that DP on the bench in the garage and thought that the price on the tag was a bit high for a 12"(?) DP, but would be a good buy at less. You got it at a great price.
Were the toolboxes still there ? The top was a more modern Craftsman, but I wasn't sure what the vintage bottom roller was. It had odd castors, kinda like a medical cart.
I was interested in the pool table, but didn't have the money or the interest in lifting it.
Yep, that was the one.

Stage: it looks like you got some nice old ratchets. WTF is the tool that looks like an old vise handle? by the way i have to break the bad news to you because your block is the plastic imitation and not worth much and doesn't have the power that the ones on the block thread do. read the thread Tourqueman started comparing the plastic block to the old ones.

Oh man I saw that CL ad but couldnt make run down to see it. How is it?CL deal due to no good garage sales. I didn't get soaked but I did pay more than I planned. I thought $90 was a bit much for these.....![]()
Penens 1/2" Ratchet, Starrett 1" mic and Brown and Sharpe 2" to 3" mic. So we sweetened the deal with this [emoji1]

pretty decent haul today.
not sure if this is a block grinder. i need to search it. its a 5 inch plastic case. runs smooth. the drill is tiny but has some kick. both have factory cords with factory ends that are molded craftsman into them.
powr kraft plvmb and some odd ball walden ratchets that look to be very course teeth. sunex snap on craftsman =v= sockets.
sears craftsman branded chilton can.... first one ive seen labeled like this as well as a yellow nut. new china kit of sockets. guy didnt have the ratchet so he tossed in an armstrong he had laying there! 5 bucks. score.![]()
Here's the end of the year big buys size wise... although all things were good buys money wise..
Lista rolling work cabinet..
View media item 46805(not keeping it... flipping it to add to the pole barn fund..)
Parks 12" (Sears) planer.. Works great with a massive motor on it.. Only problem is the thing is dirty-and the transmission selector lever pivot mount is cracked (cast iron).

The previous owner had kept it as part of his dad's tooling.. Strange story was his name was "Paris" and we were on our way home from Paris, Tennessee when we detour'd to pick it up.. He ran a board through it for me and I checked the thickness with a micrometer and it was perfect from one side to the other..

Also-take note of the Napa Royal Ride cabinet--it'll eventually become a shop fridge..
I can tell from just the picture that the face plate on that Plomb ratchet is snapped right through the screw holes. Had that same thing happen on one I bought, except that I couldn't tell it was broken until I tried to disassemble it for cleaning. A Proto 5249 rebuild kit should fit it, but you'll have to replace the screws with the face plate as I think the thread count was slightly different (or at least my Plomb screws wouldn't thread into the new Proto face plate). Still a good ratchet and worth fixing up or at least saving for parts. Good score!

Waggoneer: since you spent as much as most of us will spend in a year or two at sales i'm guessing we all wouldn't mind you taking up a few posts of 7 pictures each with some more details and close ups. sound ok guys can Wagoneer post up a few more pictures??
Got a few things at the Habitat ReStore:

BOTH sides are 1/2 drive female. im not sure if it was used with an old female ratchet or its designed to be used with an anvil ratchet and the other end works some kind of valve or mechanism? i try not to pass up the odd stuff.
it prob weighs a pound ore more. its heavy.
