Thanks Jason, I wanted the SKU's to check the PCA. I know there are a ton of Deck Mate screws at HD. I guess I could try typing in Deck Mate and organize by price...
The HD that I have been the most successful finding stuff doesn't have inventory located high up in the correct location very often. I usually find things aisles and aisles away.

Easiest way is search screws. 2 different deckmates will come up. They usually do not have much over stock. Bosch mitre saw stand down to$150.00

Yeah, most things can be in really random places, but like I said they *usually* have the excess screws in that vicinity... I've never seen them up high on another aisle at any store I've been to.

Usually it's one color they won't stock anymore, or a particular color is changing over sku numbers.

Search for "deck screws" on the PCA...

When you look up high and compare with the numbers below you'll start to figure out the numbers pretty quick, there aren't *that many* combinations, several different lengths & several different colors and the numbers are pretty similar. Once you weed out the duplicates that exist at regular price that's when I check the others on the PCA to figure out their story...

But, if you want to be spoon-fed... Here's a bone...

The store I was at is very organized and I did not look for the screws there, they were all pennied out at that store, but a store just a few miles away has many in stock, at clearance prices. I plan on stopping there and grabbing some, or if they are up high, I may wait for the magic number to appear. That store leaves everything up high. I can only assume the employees keep everything stashed up there. They never seem to care however, when I find stuff and ask someone to get it down.

The PCA showed that there is one of those nail guns at the same store that still has nails at the clearance price. I was wondering if I should have gone there to find it before I posted it up, lol. I'm assuming it is up high, and perhaps not even in the correct aisle. I have learned, by searching for things, for the most part where things are located. Often times, I even find things outside in lawn and garden. Everything out there is on a pallet with shrink wrap, makes searching a bit difficult.

I'd really love to score some of those screws. I purchased some from Menards a while back to build a fence. I was surprised how expensive they are! I'd love to be able to return them and save myself a lot of money!

I am stopping at the other store tomorrow. I'll update on the screws, and the nail gun. Now I'm thinking I should just drive there now!

If the count is only one it could just be an inventory error... Still worth searching though if you are going to be at the store!

Hi, I've been looking for clearance stuff for several years now and just started checking this site occasionally the last couple months. I'm going to share some stuff on sale when I find it marked down since I seem to find quite abit different in this area than what everyone is posting. All of this track lighting is now on sale for about 75 percent off. All of the last home depots that still have these I believe are at the either .06 or .03 pricing currently (most of it is .03 now). Found some screws on the clearance rack, they are pennied out everywhere else. I probably should have taken the 25 pound one up to so a price check. I knew those pickers had been around on clearance for a while, so I asked a younger kid to scan it for me, he smiled and asked if there were any more. They were a penny.

Found two of the Husky framing nailers, only one was posted in the PCA. Score... I just climbed the ladder myself to get them down. Nobody ever questions me, I'm sure it helped that it was close to 9pm.

Those solar LED motion lights were $8.

I have seen the Fuel ratchet in some stores now. Only as a bare tool. You might try seeing if a store has that in stock, and buy that & returning the other.

i ordered the bare tool. didn't realize they had a text help line now. went back and forth with them and they wouldn't budge. had i known all it was was an online order i would have cancelled and walked away. but i had 2 hangry kids with me and it was time to go. oh well, lesson learned. next time i'll be buying online and save at least tax at the minimum

You can price match online. On The home Depot website. I not quite sure as my wife does it, but you get a store credit card in the mail a few weeks later.

When I talked to the chat person online when ordering the 7 1/4" saw kit, I sent them the menards link and the HD "match local Menards rebate" link and they gave me 11% off ON THE ORDER! Then they gave me another 10% in store for the military discount by calling the HD .COM line and getting them to rebate my CC for the 10% plus another 10% for problems at the online pickup desk (due to the HD .COM screw ups).

YMMV...but I got 11%, 10% and an additional 10% for the disaster I had in store related to the online none cash register receipt (from Canada and in ND they rebate the state tax!!). No cash receipt no tax back.

I smiled all the way back to Canada 249 - 11% - 10% - 10% = $180.22!!!

That green 25 pound pack has a new sku on the yellow clearance tag.




Store I went to today had most of thier screws pennied out but still a few different styles hanging at 2-9 or so bucks.

I did find 3 25lb containers of #9 2-1/2" for a penny. They were not showing in the PCA but rang up a penny. SKU on those buckets were 0000-288-753

Attached is a picture of the screws showing pennies and picture of the receipt (The sku on the receipt doesn't match the sticker that was on the container?). SCO wouldnt take cash so had to swipe my card.
