When to five sales today, some good, some bad, one just meh.
The first one looked the most promising, but it turned out to be meh. A hot rodders shop, but most of the hand tools were gone, just cheap junk left, along with the grinders and presses and lathe that made it look interesting. So I just picked up a little read 1/4 socket box and moved on.The second stop was advertised as both an estate sale and a swap meet. And it was neither.
Third stop was a guy who built RC airplanes, and there was some good stuff there.
(The red box was from the first stop) 4" P&C adjustable, mini Channelock pliers, a can of vintage cutting fluid and an SK 1/4 set that also had a P&C extension in it. $10
Forth stop was the best by far. The home of guy who sharpened saws professionally from his house (also a very active wife, by the looks of things) there was a ton to look through, but it was packed with small rooms. So, I will go back on half-off day, but today I got:
Proto socket tray half full of Thorsen impacts, Starrett slide caliper in box with spare geometric C Craftsman copy, partial unused SK Wayne wrench set, Long C punch set in original pouch, and early P&C breaker bar (pre-Proto era) All of that was $25. And by the way, if you think the flippers are bad drivers, they got nuthin' on the little old lady at lunch crowd. I almost got run off the road a few time just trying to get out of there!
Last stop was a bust.
