These were on clearance last fall and I’m surprised they still had one. I skipped it last fall and got a cheaper $145 pellet grill from amazon, as good as a traeger might be I can’t justify more on grills, I have quite a few specialty smokers as it is.

I picked up one of the 22 sized ones last year and they had those on similar sale also. Really wish mine had been in the box. Harder to load and I still had to retighten every single fastener on it

I’m intrigued about your $145 purchase. How’s about a link and a readers digest version of a personal review? I don’t grill often, but my wife has expressed minor interest in a smoker. Only reason we didn’t buy one is that we too can’t justify $500

Cue the man card comments

It’s not on sale now but this is the one I got, just put it in your cart and watch the price and it dips quite frequently. It was $160 just a little while ago.

Really it’s like any of these other pellet smokers, they tend to be a compromise in some respects over using actual wood. The largest drawback is it’s thinner steel so in the winter it would use more pellets to keep temp than a heavier gauge one. You can remedy that with stuff like a bbq blanket, you can just use the extra pellets (it’s fairly easy to find them on clearance at the end of season).

The biggest advantage to a pellet smoker is it’s not like a charcoal or wood one where you’re constantly going to have to add fuel, that’s also true of the electric or propane ones. So it’s just less “watching”, sometimes that’s the fun of it though.

If you’re in no real hurry the other thing you can do is watch for end of season clearance grills, but don’t end up like me with a bunch of different ones you got really cheap just because to try the different kinds.

$75.04 Ryobi drill, impact, string trimmer and 2 batteries at my local store in Tucson. They seem to have a bunch.

It just dropped today to the $74. So it will be a few weeks b4 it drops again

Wow great price even at $74. The batteries alone are worth nearly $74. At HD last night, they had 2 of these in clearance section for $119 ($40 off regular price).

Even at $119, I considered buying one, but I went back 20 minutes later and both were gone already. Would've been cool to have an electric weedeater for times I don't have 2 stroke mix or when I don't want to fart around with the 2 stroke.

I definitely vote for good cordless yard tools. My M18 hedge trimmer, string trimmer, blower and chainsaw are all plenty powerful and not having to mess with gas/motors/cords is a blessing. I know the backpack blowers are king but also $$$.

Anybody have an item # for this? Can't find it on HD website?

I know these fan kits were on brick seek a couple days ago. $50.04 found a few floating in the rafters. In case your store may still be stocking.

Simi Valley, CA says 5 still.

Side note, are these reasonable to ship? For a Father’s Day present? UPS or USPS?

FYI, Robyi Days is on.

The best way to use this deal is to buy the battery kit, choose your "free" tool, and then return the battery kit. Because the battery kit and "free" tool are priced separately on the receipt, you can return the battery kit and pay a reduced price for the tool (around 35% - 45% off depending on the tool).

I wouldn't want to use Ryobi's stuff for my main tools (drivers, saws, etc), but they make an amazing array of oddball cordless tools. I've purchased their glue gun, fan, LED spotlight, inflator, buffer, and stapler for about $20 - $40 for each tool. They've all come in handy and I'm glad I have them.

Here's a list of the eligible "free" tools:

I was in the Home Depot today picking up a few things. I stopped at the clearance shelf lamenting the total collection of obscure **** that is all I ever see there. They have about six of these garage door openers on the floor under the shelf, and it seemed like I see them every time I'm in there.

I read the thread on HD's yellow tags, but these things have been sitting on clearance since last summer.

What should I do? Can I ask an employee to scan it with their handheld device? I sure don't want to drag them up to the register and find out they're still that price.

Talk to the manager or department lead. You should be able to get them to enter the sku into their handheld device and confirm the price. You might be able to haggle to get it lower.

I've sometimes found the handheld price to be different from the price that rings up at the register. You could ask a cashier to do a price check and give them the picture you took or get the barcode off Brickseek and scan it at self-checkout or maybe the picture you took will scan at self-checkout. Although, if it rings up for a penny, it always is better to have the item on hand. If it was me, I'd check the price myself on a Pro Desk computer.

What are the chances that it'll come up as the price marked vs .01? I don't need one, much less six, door openers, but if they ring up for a penny I'd love to replace the two aging openers I have now.

If they do ring up for a penny I'd have to buy them all because I'm weak. :(

That’s going to be impossible to say. You’ll have to find out for yourself. As someone mentioned easiest way is to use the PCA in store computer. If they are free go for it, if an employee is nearby just say “hey can I use this to check a price” they always say yes.
Second option is grab one and go through self checkout. I’m usually not bothered in self checkout. They have “assisted” checkout where they will ring stuff up for you but in self checkout they usually leave you alone. Start with one and if it rings up a penny go back and get some more. Up to you now, give it a shot.

Sorry, don't know how to post the picture. Was in HD and found they had a Makita rotary hammer 1-1/8" with a FREE 4-1/2 inch grinder. Model on box HR2811FX. Regularly 299 on clearance for 150. I was looking for something I could chip limestone with.

Not much at my local; I thought the hole saw set was a pretty good deal but not really “clearance”; the multi pack of gloves are cheap enough to stock up for general purposes. I wish they’d have had XLs

Anyone else notice the Bessey clamps are going to PRC production? I found the last 3 albeit DUSTY 40" tradesman clamps made in Germany in my local store. Nothing else in inventory for 75 miles. Everything else was made in PRC or parts shipped from PRC, Assembled in USA

Yep, I noticed. Nothing but China-made Bessey in my store for the past year or two.

Thank you SO MUCH. I’ve been eyeing this kit for the past few months, and almost pulled the trigger last month when it went down to $499. Then HD raised the price back to $599... When I saw your post I raced down my HD, and found one left, marked down to $480. Sure enough, it rang up at $300. Very happy with this purchase! Thanks again.

Their clearence varies greatly from store to store. I have multiple times found items that were a penny at one store and are full price at a store 5 miles away. I am sure it has to do with store size and sales of that item. If it keeps selling at full price then there is no reason to clearance it. Vs a smaller store that is not moving them well and needs the floor space.

Thought I was the only one. Most of the stuff listed here on clearance isn't even in stock in the New England HD stores, but you can have it shipped in for full price.

Clearance goes by district, and individual store managers can break the automatic clearance by setting the prices manually (aka .00 prices). Different regions are on different schedules.
