It's still slow these days, but i have been making some progress. I just made a jumper cable from the Compakomatic welder 110V outlet on the front to the feeder, and verified it worked, so now i don't need 2 power cables to run it. I also turned it all the way up and verified i wired the gauges correctly. The 10HP RPC actually JUMPS off the floor when i hit the trigger. I guess i need to get the 50HP working !
The other thing i got done besides some cleaning, was some work on the Detroit. I pulled the strangler off it and freed it up. I love love love how simple that thing is. I need to put it back together and paint it. I will pull the governor off and clean it up, then probably pull the injectors out and verify they are good. I think i will be pulling all the old controls off, since i want to move to PLC control on the safeties and shutoff so i can do auto start. Thinking of using a cummins grid heater on the blower inlet for low temp heating.
Still need to get more shelving up and the north wall. I'm procrastinating for some reason. Not sure why. Summer is going fast. Too fast. My brother and family were visiting for a while. I think he liked the shop progress. He thinks i've got too many projects though. I tend to agree.
More later.
