It may be about time to add a surface grinder next to the mill in the shed before you wheel in the flatheads - not so much tetris that way. Just a thought....

Ralf99 in an ideal world that would suit me down to the ground:thumbup: The flatheads are destined for storage in the West Wings garage for the time being as I have no room left in the Shed Downunder at all.

All yesterdays Chemo has been delayed a week due to a low palette count with more bloods tomorrow.

Still taking things easy at home due to the tiredness and fatigue.

Thank you one and all, have a good one.

OK Steve so you're on the bench instead of at it but you are still a major player. Smart coach, saving the best for the tough jobs! Prayers. Bobby

1/2: Hope you are feeling better today than yesterday. if you get enough energy to maybe just walk over to the west wing to just stare at your new (old and very used) flatheads maybe that might make you smile. that's a heckuva place to store them and maybe almost a guarantee that one of them will find its way into your cool MODEL A.

more prayers sent and a little luck too.

cheers

...and that logically puts one of the flatheads even closer to it’s final location in the engine bay of the A.

Ralf99 it sure does and they are in safe storage:3gears:

Between the heat and chemo, hoping the rest really helps cope with all. With your
"shed-ule", I hope you don't get bored, lol!

Ric we have had a few cooler days of late which has been a blessing so that has allowed me to potter about, nothing too strenuous mind you just a little tired and fatigued during the day. Its not upsetting my "sched-ule" to much.:lol_hitti

Bobby you are right there, side lined for a bit:thumbup:
Sincere thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Drives I am getting a little better every day trying to get as much rest as I can.
We will be picking up the engines in a week or so as I still get a little puffed and would not be much of a hand just at the moment.
The West Wing will be the ideal storage for a while as I literally do not have any more spare space in the shed at the moment and thats one thing I do not want to compromise on is a safe working area tripping over stuff.

Your thoughts and prayers are truly appreciated.

All, more bloods on Tuesday and should every thing be ok my next round of Chemotherapy will most likely be on Wednesday.

Thank you one and all, have a great day.

1/2: I know you probably don't feel like it at the moment, but do you have any exercise equipment at home or a nice gym you can join where you can maybe go to get some exercise?

my bride and I joined a gym where my 30 year old daughter is one of the instructors (her part time gig) a year ago and we try to go 3 days a week. it was hard at first (and still is somewhat on a few exercises) especially the cardio and core workouts for me, but I can really feel the difference.

maybe a little QST time can be spent at a gym that might help your energy to match your positive attitude?

hopefully your tests results will say you and your doctors are getting ahead of this stuff you are trying to get rid of so you won't need full dosage to keep it heading out of your system.

prayers and good luck sent!!

cheers (we had a bottle of white wine with dinner yesterday after shoveling over a foot of snow here)

drives my hospital does have a rehabilitation wing that has full gym facilities and my fitness along with diet are another part of my treatment plan post Chemo and its side effects like tiredness and fatigue are the norm. The other thing I have noticed is that I have what's called Chemo brain where the treatment really effects your cognitive ability but I am sure I will get over that in time:thumbup:

Still praying for your continued improvement, Steve.

1/2 way through cycle number 2 with the lesser dose of Chemo now and although I am a little tired and fatigued I am managing well so we decided to pick up the flat head V8s this morning and I was under strict instructions not to lift a finger

My brother (LHS ) and his 3 and his mate to give us a hand.

My eldest son Andrew with some of my stash ( not shown is an engineered engine stand that I scored for $50.:thumbup:

We also scored as freebees 4 sets of school lockers and another Mid Century Bendix office chair to add to my collection which I am pretty stocked about.

Thank you one and all, enjoy your week end.

If my eyes are not deceiving me there may be an extra head lurking in the pile near the sump bringing the total to 15..., but obviously if that were true there would most likely be a 16th somewhere too.

1/2: looks like you and your brother scored big time at that auction.

I know you and he have a few layers of rust and dirt/grime to remove, but did either of you see any other issues that you hadn't noticed before?

congrats and I hope you get to keep one of those for your Model A so you can drive it when you start getting 6 Saturdays and a Sunday each week.

speaking of Model A's check out Don's Party Garage thread cause he just had a group stop by with about 30 of them he's posted pics of on his thread.

cheers and i'll keep saying prayers and sending you a bit of luck.

PS: thanks for sending some heat our way cause we'd be under about 5 feet of snow if you hadn't.

Steve knows just how to get us all motivated and invested in his journey to health. Some fine looking engine blocks there. Just look at the size of that flywheel compared to a modern V8.

Hope at least one of them find its way into something low, red and roofless with a short exhaust and a long open road with you in the driver seat!

Love seeing a trailer load of that old Ford iron. Hope all those engines someday are purring nicely again. I look forward to learning some Flathead rebuild tricks here.

Drives et all, the Chemo went well and the lymph node is showing continual reduction in size.
My bloods are all within the normal range.
Appetite although is down a bit I have managed my normal weight.
Resting and sleeping well.

The only side effects are tiredness, breathlessness, fatigue and what is called Chemo Brain

https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/ab...t/chemotherapy/side-effects/chemo-brain/about

But I am managing well on all counts.

What's next:

Flush, bloods and dressing change on a weekly basis on my third time lucky PICC line installed on Monday which works well.
https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/14983-peripherally-inserted-central-catheter-picc

One more 8 day cycle of chemo (2 doses a week apart with a 10 day rest following) starting in 10 days time.

Another contrast scan.

All being well back onto immunotherapy until we get the all clear.

Many thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers they are truly helping thigs along my journey.:bowdown:
