Well what an experience, assisting
Mrs 1/2 Cup with her first ever market stall..
It started Saturday for me, the market, being an outdoor venue in the city gardens I had suggested that she may need a gazebo shelter just in case. As we don't have one I thought It not a bad investment as she would use it at the dog shows any way.
Mrs 1/2 Cup even with all the detail she went to with her preparation and beading I could detect more than a little anxiety creeping in as it was here first market.
It was at this point in time I had resigned myself to the fact that I was going to miss out on the car show and swap.

The gazebo, three stores crowded with Saturday afternoon Christmas shoppers later I was blown away by the assortment of styles and options on the market.
I had settled on the
brand I was after, being half reasonably built and looked not to bad.

Then that where the frustration started to set in decision time??
1/2 Cup to part time shop assistant - I need an
10 x 10 OZTRAIL Gazebo please.
Bearing in mind there was none on display and all their stock was packaged and not much point of sale stuff to make my uniformed and impulsive purchase.
Shop assistant to
1/2 Cup - What model were you after???
I usually do my homework prior to purchasing any thing but regrettably not this time.
We have the "Weekender" , the "Deluxe ", the "Standard" the "Corporate" the "Compact" or the "Pavillion" in the size you are after.
1/2 Cup - mmmmm

long pause
Getting a little more than frustrated by this time I said I will have the " Standard " please what ever that is.

Return trip home after setting up and Mrs 1/2 Cup is still fixing her hair and make up and nowhere near ready so I picked up the rest of her kit and returned to the market with her following some 20 minutes later.
It was then she realise that perhaps she may not have enough table space so a trip to the big green box store to pick up another table was the order of the day.
With the new table she was good to go..

What a weekend, Mrs 1/2 Cup sold quite a few bits and pieces and we both came away with some very valuable lessons learned.
