Congratulations to you all.:rocker::beer:

I can't wait for my first to arrive, although I hope it is not late like this one as the due date is just 3 days after my birthday, 3 days early would be good

We are just so chuffed at the moment and I have to say thank you one and all, we all truly humbled...

Just to give you a little back ground in to his middle name as it carries special significance to the familly.

Robert Henry ( Aiden's great great uncle ) was killed on the battle fields in WW1 25/10/1917 at Passchendaele.

My Dad is Robert Bruce.

Then there is me Stephen Robert

Then Andrew Robert

Now Aiden Robert

PS, I received Andrews call at work letting us know early this morning, so I cleared the desk, put the Out of Office on, rearranged some meetings and then said to my boss " see you in a weeks time" as I had already pre warned him that I would be taking some leave when he was born...

Thank you one and all, have a great day...:thumbup:

Well I guess you know I'm late. Congratulations Steve! Having just had my first great grand I can tell you that the joy never ends. So happy also with every story I hear about someone that honors their family history. I was mostly raised by my grandmother and learned to see the wisdom in that. I hope none of your family was anywhere near the earth quake area. Best wishes. Bobby

Congratulations Stephen to all of your family, from another grandfather with 3 grandsons that are just a bit older.
I missed your post yesterday by about 6 minutes, logged on still no news on the new grandson, and then 6 minutes later you posted the great news.

On another note you have broken a major milestone and you may not even know it, in the "Garage Gallery" overall replies thread count you are currently the second highest.
Whilst I feel that Thomas's thread is undoubtedly the ultimate thread here, its great to be number 2.
cheers

I always wanted to do Engineering.

So you are a card carrier. ;):D

Make the most of the week off.

Engineering is always a good career to get into be that Mechanical or electrical.

Yep, I have to fess up to being a card carrier...

I have been doing some finishing touches to the West Wing and detailing the garden as the Property Manager type person is coming to take a heap of pictures on Friday.

The airconditioner gets installed tomorrow, so it will be nice to be there while it gets installed. I do have a bit of electrics to do on it as well..

Congratulations Stephen to all of your family, from another grandfather with 3 grandsons that are just a bit older.

I happened all so quickly yesterday, we are all over the moon..

Unreal, thanks for pointing that out. The thread just keeps rolling on, it just proves how addictive the GJ can be.. I wouldn't have it any other way..

yeah, I have been soaking up quite a few of the longer threads, yours, Quaker road, BB767, sakurama, HD FLHX, Red Jess and the Scooter garage etc..

its been an elightening journey for sure..

this past weekend, I cleaned out the gutters on my 28x32 detached pole barn. I think I removed a half a dozen trees from the buildup... oops. oh well, gotta start somewhere.

Thanks for the welcome!

All,

Now that the dust has settled with young Aiden's birth..

Its time to get moving on the West Wings out doors and garden. First cab off the rank is the decking.:shocking:
No hand rail, no steps and in need of a good clean and oil up..

It looks pretty below par.

Á trip to our big box store Bunnings yesterday morning I picked up some powder coated modular aluminium fencing and a set of treated pine steps and four hours later..

They had some solar post top lights which add a little character.

Still a work in progress...

Have a great day...

1/2 Nice job on the handrails! Looks real pretty, above par. But I think you wasted your money on the steps, they hardly show up at all.

And I think I found my missing DeWalt screw gun, I see it there on the ground.:rocker: I'd come get it but sometimes it seems like we live half a world away. Would it be much trouble for you to post it to me?

A Work in Progress...

I will whack the steps in today, I have just picked up a couple of concrete pavers to sit them on this morning..

I need to hit it with the pressure wash and oil the deck and I still have to replace the base board that's missing. I clean forgot to pick up the timber last trip, any way another outing is on the cards to the big box store today.

I wounder who kindly left the Dewalt screw gun here..:dunno:

Local pick up only sorry..:lol_hitti

The airconditioning guys just starting in the West Wing

Have a good one..
