All, I received all the CNC stuff from Andrew to allow me to modify the air intake for the Jenvey fuel injection system on the Rover K series plus a nicely powder coated air in take..

The spacers allow just enough clearance for the intake to clear the cooling manifold...

I have also found the time to piece together a few bits for the MK11 traffic light controller..

Lots to do and I would not have it any other way, enjoy..

I will try and get the air intake set up today, just another job to be ticked of the list.

HOTFR8, I should set up a production line to be honest as its far better to do multiples than one offs.

The Traffic Light Controller will be basically a cut and paste of yours with the only change being that the lights will be permanently connected and not portable like yours..

HOTFR8, most likely I will mount the traffic lights on the far end of the carport closest to the shed and facing to the street, that way I can activate it with a motion sensor. That's my initial thoughts any way.

You would have seen the railway crossing lights as well mounted on the old bridge. You would have noticed then the traffic lights do not flash in the correct sequence as they can be seen from the road.

If you look at the key tag in the earlier photos he built one for me (Key tag is the clue here HOTFR8) and I have been very happy with his work.

While at my uncle's farm, jump off tractor, fell when I hit the rough dirt right into a barbed wire fence with a hot wire. Lesson learned.

I have a traffic light that I'd like to make functional. Having it set on a motion detector is a great idea. Do you have a schematic you could share. Or better yet if you build me a controller I'll trade for some of those bagel slings that you like to wear.

i love how handy you are and how you can just switch from one project to the next at any point if needed or if MRS. 1/2 (your MANAGEMENT) tells you to.

that traffic signal would be a great thing to mount on the West Wing's shed or maybe make a pole for it. i bet it might have the Rodents even running red lights cause aren't dogs colorblind?

Well done as all your work. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished assembly. I've been intrigued by your solar setup and always thought it would be nice to have an E-tank system on wheels like you are doing. The final result should be interesting.

The controller will do either a set of Christmas tree or Traffic lights, no problem. More stages can be added if needed and the timers are all adjustable..

rmalkow, the dolly is to sit the solar panel and battery/s on. Nothing will be permanently mounted so I can easily store it when it is not in use.

The E tank sits on another set of dolly wheels and again when I am finished with it can be stored easily.

Nee. I make hand formed bowls with no wheel. But I do have the obligatory kiln. Or two...

My test firing to see whether the clay out of my creek was suitable was done in the blacksmith forge. That was a six inch sample to check for shrinkage upon firing. Supposed to be less than 10% shrinkage.

Slim, Putter, Putzing or Potter all means one thing to me and that is relaxing QST...

I have not done too much in the shed today, its pretty warm here and I have been assembling Mrs 1/2 Cups new exercise bike ( I laugh when they say some assembly will be required )

Our little critters are just a part of the family and in the shed and we should share that. ( I did have a quick gander at your post )

The four day weekend is rapidly coming to an end sadly and back to reality tomorrow, any way it has been fantastic to step off the merry go round for a few days...

I am hoping it goes as good as it looks. As for what it will put out I would be only speculating at best now but I would disappointed if we don't double the 99 kw rear wheel out put the old engine did prior to its last run.

You could put it in a road car no problems..

Thanks guys, I have been a bit preoccupied with everything going on around me at the moment. Mainly work stuff as follows:

. Drone flying - I have now clocked up enough hours to apply for my licence from the Civil Aviation Authority and the application was sent Monday. Which was promptly sent back that I had used the wrong form ( Form 1087 ( superseded )and not Form 101-01 ).

So I corrected my erroneous ways and promptly sent in Form 101-01 plus the $185.00 fee.

I have clocked up nearly three hours over the last week due to favorable weather condition which has been fantastic and builds my confidence with every flight.

Some more mapping flights tomorrow weather permitting..

. We have had external auditors in who go over every financial statement know to man so guess who is due for a bend over and receive a pineapple from management.
Any way one does what has to be done to get the job done on time and under budget even though I may have skipped one or two of the usual protocols to do so. my excuse is I haven't been trained in financial management, after all I am just sparky

. Site commissioning of a water regulator structure and automated fish way some two hours away from here.

. Paper work, more paper work and some.

. Pump station Design reviews.

. Site Acceptance and commissioning reviews.

. Procedural reviews.

. Did I mention paper work.

. No plasma cutting fun either, the projects on the back burner are mounting up.

. The work calendar is booked for the next two weeks as we speak, no rest for the wicked as they say..

The Shed Downunder front:

Not a lot really, this week seems to have been one of those weeks when every one has said "lets visit the 1/2 Cups" not that I mind a bit. It has been great to catch up..

. No I have not clocked a screw in at least 5 days, 8 hours and 32 minutes.

. Still not a lot done on the MG F engine, pretty much waiting on the subframe from Andrew.

. I just had a phone call as I type this to inform me that a new stainless steel exhaust system is on its way for the K Series ( watch this space )

. No edges or lawns until the week end, I do have to admit that my standards have slipped just a tad.

That's about it ( I think )
