I will be working from home for the next week or so.
With the cold spell forecast in the next few days for any QST you will need the heat on. Take care. That dreaded 'P' word I hate.

1/2: my uncle beat CANCER and passed away with one of those P words you mentioned. hopefully the diagnosis and treatment for it are better now than they were 25 years ago and good to know you and your Dr. are on top of it.
from my understanding you don't really get an immunity to those P words like you do a cold or the flu and unfortunately your body is more susceptible to catching it again so do your best to stay away from sick people and dress warm and keep your energy up. my mom is a retired RN (registered Nurse), but I rarely go to the Dr. so my information might not be 100% and just writing what I've heard or remember.
good luck and let us know how the new heater works!!

I have even been running my little Air Con unit beside the fan heater the last few days. Amazing how using the two together keeps the place warm. Sounds like that QST should be AEJ (All Easy Jobs)..
Got that right! She's not the only one watching...

Take care 1/2 cup.
Sounds like chicken soup time - tastebuds pending

We are all watching be it from some distance.
Crank up that split system and stay warm. 18 mm of rain here over night and no point in being out in the wet & cold.

Crikey Steve! Sounds like you caught it early before it got the better of you. Hope you get better before it does.
While I do get a little seasick I'm actually OK in the air. Despite the pilot doing whatever the opposite of a positive G turn is, with me sitting in the open door next to him. Even while I was wearing a chute at the time and actually planning to jump out I would hope to be a little higher than the 300ft up at the time he was doing this. At least I fared better than the other occupants tumbling over each other in the back of the plane.![]()
Same pilot was a little disappointing that he didn't rattle me earlier so proceeded to literally kick me out of his plane when it was my turn to jump. Later told my that doing a whoop rather than a frightened scream ruined that moment for him too.![]()
He finally got me later when while hanging off the wing strut(ready to 'jump')he proceeded to put the plane into a glide dive rather than just simply throttling back as he is supposed to. All while he was sitting there looking like normal business. Effect being that I got the feeling of falling(and falling forward rather than backward too) before letting go... sheesh that guy was nuts. Think that is why I always felts safe skydiving - compared to being in a plane with him.![]()

I had pneumonia when I was a kid. I couldn't say the word right, it came out "ammonia". I couldn't get it in my head properly. Anyway, I hope you're firing on all eight soon.
We went on the Spirit Of Tasmania a few years back for a trip to Tassie and I must admit to feeling crook but did not loose it at all.

Have a good one..![]()
Steve rest up, stay warm. Regards Bobby

1/2: as I get older my fear of heights and my motion sickness THING seems to be worse. i almost lost it on a Harry Potter ride at Universal last year.
I just flew in a jet 3.5 hours last month from Kansas City, Mo to Seattle (first class is the only way to fly BTW cause good beer, food and a movie) and wished the flight was longer after driving for 6 days to drop my daughter's car off. the plane ride had some turbulance and a few bumps, but almost like sitting in my recliner in my living room.
the last time i was in a single engine cessna the pilot was a friend of mine and he did a few cute things like you have been talking about and I wished I hadn't had breakfast cause it didn't come out, but was stuck about ready too the last half of the flight.
I hope your treatments for the Pneumonia work and you nip it in the bud and get that out of your system.
have a great day off and hope it's nice and toasty in the Shed Downunder!!
1/2Cup,
As all others have said, rest up, stay warm and kick that "P" word thing out for good. Then you can get back to QST. Saying a prayer for your health.
Bob
It must be going around, just found out my MIL has it too.
QST is a highly motivating reason to get better.
And I was hoping he would get back to firing on all four again...

Nice trip. I do need to go see Tasmania some day.
Looks like the front that brought you some rain is about to smack us hard this weekend with a wall of water after lunchtime tomorrow. Good thing I have nowhere to be other than in the shed.
Enjoy the weekend!
We have had quite the cool change and speaking of Tasmania did you see the news this morning, they coped the rain big time this morning.

We have had about 12 mm of very welcome rain and a lot more down in HOTFR8 country and there is no doubt you will get some as well.
Stay warm and dry..
Thank you one and all, have a great day..

Sure did.
We are next down the line for that weather system too. But it looks like it has lost a little fury along the way. Forecasts are lifting a bit compared to same time yesterday. Strangely it has been quite warm so far and looks like a very mild weekend too.

congratulations 1/2 cup on your newest arrival .....4 boys!!!
1/2: BIG CONGRATS to both you and Mrs. 1/2 Cup and Andrew and Amy!!
I would never suggest going to the hospital when you are recovering from Pneumonia, but this might be a good reason to wear a mask and head there.
have a great SATUR day!!
Congrats to all.
Congratulations Grandpa!
Congrats to the happy parents and prouder grandparents!
Congratulations.
Congratulations!
One more and you'll be all caught up with me.
Now let's talk about great grand children...
Man, it is a good thing it was a boy, otherwise you would be a grandmother.
Congrats!![]()

All, we are now the proud grandparents of grandson number 4.
Andrew ( our eldest ) and his wife Amy have announced the safe arrival of Adam and brother to Aiden.
