Thanks for the tip, will try it out.Ooooo, no pressure then in coming up with suitable alternative to an Australian icon. For what it's worth, my current preference is Mighty Mite.
As HotFR8 has mentioned, I'm told Ozemite is not too bad, however I have an issue with some of **** Smiths business practices so have not tried it myself - it is still available in supermarkets though.
For those of us not familiar with Vegemite, it's a savoury spread that's been a staple of Australian breakfasts and school lunches for the best part of a century, albeit at least part owned by the Australian arm of Kraft for 90 or so years until it was bought by our local Bega Cheese group in 2017.
Vegemite is very similar to Marmite from the UK, and was created in response to a shortage of Marmite imports at the end of the first world war.
One of its key ingredients is derived from yeast left over from the beer brewing process. I used to drive past the Kraft factory in Port Melbourne on my way home from work everyday and could always tell when they were processing a batch of Vegemite - the sweet aroma of the yeast would waft a mile or two around the factory.
Hijack over.![]()
I think she already knew the answer. [emoji106]HOTFR8, Mrs 1/2 Cup came to me with a Repco Auto catalogue and said "what do you think of this for painting the fence" and naturally I said go for it, she went and picked it up for her self. I am not one to argue a deal like that.[emoji106]

**** Smith had a good sense of humour when it came to naming some of his products - who could forget his answer to Red Head matches...

I understand about the job situation, GM is laying off 1/3 (roughly 16k) of its white collar workforce here. We'll see how it plays out. Anyway, the pickets that are done look great. How much longer do you have to go through the medical treatment? I pray everything is clear and clean.

That is a nice creeper Steve. Saw it in the local sale catalogue and it wasn't cheap either. Score on both fronts. Hope you run out of pickets to paint and attach soon in favour of some QST.
I grew up with Marmite which tastes quite different from the Marmite and Vegemite they sell these days. Seem 'sharper' and more salty now. We only get the Aussie Vegemite as the NZ factory closed a few years back. Strangely enough they taste different over there as well. Different recipes between Au and NZ. My wife actually prefers Bovril instead which I sometimes borrow to add some kick to the Sunday roast gravy.
...in a few hours time after I drink that horrible Barium meal...
Oooh, that's always a fun adventure. [emoji15]

Often the waiting is the hard part.
Steve good luck with your tests. I have had the Barium a few times from both ends. Believe me it's no treat either way even though it is tasteless from the end it is so tasteless to have to take it form!![]()
Fingers crossed, Steve.
1/2: prayers sent and fingers crossed!!
More canulas and barium shots? If that doesn't harden the constitution and cure all, I don't know what will.
I really hope these tests confirm it!![]()
Steve,
Praying for the best results.
Bob

Steve, that's great news and a nice early Christmas present. I guess the side-effects are an indication of how bad the disease is. No one would choose those if it didn't save their life.

1/2: great news and hopefully the water on the lungs will clear up again like it did the last time.
hope you are in good spirits which it sounds like and hoping for the best.
CHEERS!!
Do you find if you are feeling down, there will always be a heap of people to give you encouragement and the zest to percervere.
Glad to hear the good news about the scans and stuff. I hope the pneumonia clears quickly. Still praying for you.
1/2: i'm hoping your stay at the hospital is a short and successful one. we've got one of our major holidays tomorrow (Thanksgiving) and it will be quite here for the first time in 30+ years. we usually host the big feast, but all our kids are out of town (or country as my daughter and son in law are in south africa for 2 months) so we might just have homemade PIZZA.
not sure you have any of these HUGE SNOW CAPPED MOUNTAINS in your area, but we've got a few and here's a picture I took a couple days ago when we were out of town for a couple days of R&R. it's Mt. Baker and an old volcano that I think is about 12,000 feet elevation at it's top.
here's to your continued good health!!

Andy steady it is..![]()
