Im not sure I could justify paying $400.00/ fixture. However they do look great.

I thought the same thing, but I used their lighting calculator, and it appears these are much brighter, which would justify using less fixtures, for the same lumens to light the space.
My only apprehension is shadowing with fewer fixtures.

Ive just had 18 led fluro tubes installed in a vehicle test cell. The supplier had a lighting CAD program that shows the light distribution on the form of a heat map.
The main thing i learnt was its not the strength of the light on its own thats important, its the way that it throws out the light. The ones that i purchased have a sphere type shape so you need to overlap the sphere so that all areas get covered and thats how the number of lights is determined. Many fixture designs have a conical shape which means the best coverage ends up being on the floor level not working level so even if they are super bright unless they are very close together you dont get a good coverage.. this can be very inefficient

LOL! $400 for 13,000 lumens. That is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. Laughable and ridiculous all at once.

That's about the same amount of light you would get from a 100w metal halide bulb. Maybe just a hair more.

It does look pretty though. That must count for at least $350 right?

Wife bought me two for Christmas. I had 6 shop light fixtures in my two bay garage. I put up the two Bigass lights and put a small LED shop light over the tool cart. Happy with them, but they are overpriced. 200 or 250 would be reasonable but they are very trick looking.

The last few years i have had trouble with the fluorescent fixtures in this building when it's very cold or very humid. I replaced two flourescent troffer fixtures in an adjacent laundry room with LED fixtures and the improvement was well worth it to me.

I've thought about these as well. However i snagged one of the led fixtures from a gas station canopy and two large led corn lights for free when i helped a friend with some work. It was my payment for helping with everything. I have to say, they are super bright. No idea on the specs, but I'd love to have more.... just need to win the lottery lol. (although the gas station canopy light was very expensive on ebay)

I don't know if you have a Costco in your area, but I just finished retrofitting my shop with their 4 ft LED fixtures. Each give off 4200 lumens and use about 23 watts, incredible upgrade from fluorescent, cost about $40 a piece. Sam's Club has the same from Light America. 4 of these fixtures lit up the bays over my machines and half of a 1500 sq.ft shop. Really clean work light, no buzzing, and best of all, they're supposed to last 40 yrs? I'm not likely to be using the shop that long! !
