The organ donor. Some benches I made seven years ago. These should do just fine as they have already sat in the sun and rain for seven years so their days of shrinking, twisting, warping should be over. I'm going to **** them tight and hope for the best. If we get 2-3 years I'll call that a win and then it's sawzaw and firewood time. I've got two more outside in the back, my wife just got tired after carrying two. We are expecting so I'll give her a break this time on the help.
Quite impressed with these actually. The finish was something my wife found online and wanted to give a try. It's coffee grounds and vinegar mixed up and applied with steel wool. Hell, lasted longer then anything I've ever bought from the store.
Here they were new seven years ago. We still have that table on our new back porch too. Seven years old and still going strong. The wife just wanted to switch to chairs instead of long benches, which allowed me to cut these up. That table is 20ft long. I made the mistake of making it one solid piece, no seams or way to break it up. When we moved my wife asked if we were bringing it......uhhhhhh sure honey yea that was the plan. Couple of friend, couple of payment beers, and the flat bed later, it's still with us.
