Doing a quick redo on one of the block grinders that'll go to my son, he's only been waiting two years for. Just a typical 1/2 hp that needed paint.

The gauge of the copper in theses always amazes me.

Primer coat, top cost tomorrow.
Grinder runs great, no bearing noise. I did mange to break a terminal off the switch though.

You going stock colors or special colors?

I am counting the days. First round of Listas is this Friday. I think some have to wait until snap on gets all the benches delivered. Unfortunately that part is out of my control.

Going with Ford blue, son has had Ford trucks all his life. I want to make a label, I need to go back and research the threads here.

Can't wait to see all your Listas. I finally got one moved inside, the others soon to follow. Got to have them under lock and key with the vultures around:lol_hitti

If you would of waited just a little more, might of happened.:dunno:

Strouty, I'd advise you keep delivery times and especially routes to yourself, this guy would probably set up a hijacking of the truck:lol_hitti

too funny, just got this in a joke of the day email

What is the difference between a broken down bus stop and a crab with breast implants?

One is a rusty bus station and the other is a ***** crustacean.

Sometimes it's a cheap easy fix. The guys here at GJ walked me through repairing my fridge a few years ago for like $30 iirc. If it's repairable.

My free shop fridge just needed a new thermostat. $10 from ebay. Very common fault.

Anything that cools things is a mystery to me, I so want to learn AC and refrigeration. Did you rescue those or did you have to sacrifice them?

I was wanting a fridge with a seperate freezer so I could keep some ice out here, so here's my chance:beer:
They were pretty warm wheni found it, so nothing's surviving. There's a 12 pack that's was way past the date code that's going back to the store.
Was really disappointing to go grab a cold one .
Good part was I picked up some Hard Lemonades while getting a emergency 6 pack so,my wife sat and drank one with me:lol_hitti:beer:

That's one thing I can't stand. ALCOHOL ABUSE. here's just no need for it. What did those little beers do to deserve being forced to get warm. It's a shame. And how in the hell does beer expire? I've never seen one last long enough at my shop to get more than a few days old.:lol_hitti

Hey Craig, still plugging along. Just been busy in the shop lately. Looks like you've been a little busy yourself. Just checking in.

Yes, been busy. We're trying to get Moms house done,
Closing is next month. Work has been trying as we had a management upset.

In really important news, I did get a new fridge for the shop, stocked with fresh beer, although I haven't been there to drink one.:(.

So, my shop has been a closed up dungeon of sorts. I'll get back in to it soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Here's a few things I found in Dads garage that we're cleaning out.

A couple of very heavy duty casters. Looks like the name on them is Bond. Wish I had a complete set.

And this light fixture. The switch and base is copper.

And a supply of Lincoln Continental Mark III hub caps and parts.
We're looking to sell these.

It's like going through a time capsule.

I bet an old Lincoln could hold a Lista in the trunk.

Those casters look cool, I almost think I have some like them.

Craig, now you have to find a Lincoln to put all that stuff on.

I bet you're right, them things were a tank. It amazes me how heavy the parts are, like the hub caps. I can only imagine them zinging off the rim, it'd be like a tire on a smaller car.

No cars for me, I can't keep up with my trucks.

Thanks for stopping by.

I won't rib you about working on the Ford (merc)

They all need seething sooner or later.
Funny thing is, there was no big issue, the encoder ring on the drivers side CV axle came lose, so according to the shop, it was cheaper to replace whole axle. Then the other side had a torn boot, well might as well do the brakes, then it's the dry rotted dust boot on the ball joint, can't buy just boot, it was only $ 10 more to get the whole a arm with ball joint.
I'm glad it stopped there.

I really need to get a BBQ at my shop, I have a working fridge.

I have a working fridge, that was fixed on the first Monday after

I'm going to build a new cooker, based on indirect heating. I want to set meat in and come back 4 hours later to load it up.:lol_hitti.

Actually I enjoy the cooking, but I do want to play around with the indirect so I can cook slow and low while tinkering in shop.

Strouty, you do need one, it's nice to let something simmer on it while working, have a good meal, be too full to go back to work and go lie on hammock in the barn.:lol_hitti

i

Low and slow is the way to go. I lucked into someone else's hard luck and got a deal on a Big Green Egg a few years ago. It is nice to put a 10 lb pork **** on after dinner, sleep all night and wake up to nearly done meat. I like to "rest" it in a cooler until about time to eat it. My buddy has an offset setup like you are talking about and he also smokes it all night. Always good to be able to cook and get something else done.

I have never used a smoker or grilled anything overnight. My crockpot has been known to make some pulled pork from time to time. I can only get about 6 pounds in there if I remember correctly.
