+1 I bought two snap on wrenches in my most commonly used sizes, to see if my mixed set of CMan Pro/CMan Industrial was worth replacing. They are equally as impressive, at about 20% of the price. I'm glad I didn't buy a set to try out.

The satin finish, and the black oxide, are no different than ordinary craftsman RP wrenches.

I think they're much better than the (older) raised panel wrenches. Er...thicker. Thicker is better for me so I don't have to get that iffy look on my face when I'm using it. Every time that iffy face comes out I know something isn't going to come back standing.:D

thread's so derailed.

I don't think the prices are going to come back nor do I think they're gonna add anymore :/

Was hoping for a cheap deepoffset set..

I'm going to keep my eye on it still. Just have to be patient. I'm sure things will pop up from time to time as they find more stock. But it will be a trickle instead of another flood. At least that was the story with the Industrial stuff last year.

I sure hope they find more of the metric offset box wrenches. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Sears did these deals last year right around the same time. It might be seasonal. I think last year, the deals showed up on the outlet site, not the regular Sears site. There is no particular consistency there.

For historical reference, on March 1, 2013 I ordered and subsequently received the following:

- "Craftsman CLOSEOUT! 7PC Professional Use Static Wrench Set. Metric" $23.49
- "Craftsman CLOSEOUT! 13PC Professional Use 12PT Full Polish Metric Wrench Set" $101.49 (these are actually the cross-force pieces)
- "Craftsman CLOSEOUT! 11PC Professional Use 12PT Combination Wrench Set, Inch (SAE)" $19.49
- "Craftsman CLOSEOUT! 65PC Professional Use Socket Wrench Set, 3/8-Inch Drive" $43.74
- "Craftsman CLOSEOUT! 11PC Professional Use 6PT Socket Wrench Set, 3/8-IN. Drive, Inch (SAE)" $11.81

ALL were Industrial branded, USA made. On the Outlet site, using the search term CLOSEOUT would find these goodies quickly.

I have no idea of what Sears is really doing as of late.
FYI - A friend was over at our local Sears HW and they a lot of misc. old stuff that came in, and was just sitting on the shelf. Some with marked down prices, some with out. If you took the item to checkout, it was discounted. Assoc have no idea what happened, as the stuff just showed up!!

These full polished wrenches are very nice. My wife made my a tool roll for them, and asked if I wanted any more made. I said sure, and brought in my Proto pros's, that are my favorite wrenches to use. Well they sure looked hammered when sitting next to these craftsman. Comparing them to my snap-on non flank drive, they look very nice, although I have yet to use them, I am confident they will hold up well for years to come.

Link? Don't know how you guys navigate sears website. Way too many results when searching with keywords.

Just put this item number in the search: 00934956000

Currently returns a price of $84.99. SAVE15 coupon code should work, and you may have SYW points. My set came out to $57 and change, shipped. They are made in USA and were NOT loose, the metrics and SAE were vacuum sealed separately in a box within a box. I think these are a really great deal at $84.99, never mind additional available discounts.

If anyone picked up an extra 19mm full polished industrial I would be interested. I found out yesterday that I only had 1 19mm wrench and it was the gear wrench from the other thread. I needed 2 so luckily I had a metric crescent wrench!

I got a 18mm full polish that looks very out of place with my set. But no extra 19mm. Last night I ordered it in black oxide and not sure what I will do with my extra 18mm.

For some of my missing sockets I got from Northern Tool. They are clearance for only around $.60 each. Northern Tool sockets actually look great. Not sure how well they hold up yet but they do look good with a very nice chrome finish.

Here are some pictures of my latest order. The big order was for me and the small order is for my work. I did fill some gaps in the combination wrench sizes but some were double ended. I am not sure about those, they look funny and don't fit well along side the others.

Oh one more thing. The ratchets looks and feel great. I got the 3/8 and 1/2 Industrial. It does not seem drop forged. I am not a metal expert but it looks as if it was turned because it has these fine little lines in it. They weight of it is very nice and feels solid. My 3/8 is broken out of the box so I need to see if my local Sears has a repair kit for the ratchet. It just spins around freely.

I got some more sockets in today. I also took the 3/8 Industrial ratchet to Sears to get a repair kit to fix it but they didn't have a repair kit. This Sears did not have the Industrial ratchet to replace it with so I had to settle for this shinny looking one. The one they replaced it with seems easier to switch forward and reverse so I guess it will be okay, just not Industrial. At least I have a picture to remember my first Industrial ratchet. Attached are pictures of the broken ratchet and the replacement. And the sockets I got in.

Dang! They replace it with a PREMIUM ratchet!

I'm going to have to order one of the Industrial ratchets, and "break" it, so I can go swap it with a Premium. :)

You made out like a bandit, that's a much better ratchet.

It is very heavy YMMV. Two managers responded to the employees page for approval on the warranty exchange. The first one that replied said yes and the second that arrived after the fact said no. But the first decision won over the second one. It doesn't hurt that everyone that works there recognizes me. One of the guys in merchandise pick up even calls me by name when he sees me.

If you go there that often, you should know you got a WAY better ratchet. The Industrial ratchets are nothing to write home about. The premium ratchets are 84T quality high ratchets.

You ****!

So, some of us have the full sets now of the locking flex ratcheting sets. Any idea where to source the 7 piece tool roll from? Note the American flag on the roll. Don't want the giant 14 pc roll in the stores made in China...

Good tool rolls are hard to find.

Sears has an 8 pocket and a 12 pocket that are both smaller than the 14, but they are not made of terribly impressive quality.

Shameless bump for a source on the US made industrial tool rolls. Finding one would make my inner OCD be at peace. :bounce:

I'll have to check and see how many Craftsman Industrial tool rolls I have left as I had a bunch of them that came with the CI wrench sets I purchased last year. I know I've sold a few of them, but am unsure if I have any left for sale....I'll check.

This thread never dies. lol. Nice collection there. I need to finish off my metric set with a few wrenches. I only went up to 21 or 22 mm though. I already have a set of GW long pattern wrenches to compliment the CI's.

I, too, am waiting for an order of some CI/Professional sockets. It's all from Sears though. I hope they replenish stock at some point for all the clearance items.

I guess I just wasn't meant to have the 20 piece stubbies. I had some issues last week trying to check out, and now they are saying sold out. Hope that doesn't mean they are gone forever. :(

Edit: They were finally back in stock and my gift cards/points were cooperating! On their way to me! :)

For those of you who were missing items from your delivered package, how has customer service treated you? What did they require you do to get your missing item? I just ordered 20+ sockets to come closer to filling some trays I have, and I'm missing one socket. UPS delivered it today and just left it in a bag on the front porch. One corner was torn the full length of the height and just taped up. I'm surprised that I was missing just one based on how these packages have arrived at the house.

Also, how easy is it to return stuff to Sears that is Craftsman Industrial. I have two that need to go back because I already have them.

Damn it, I gave in!

I just picked up the 20pc stubby set for $73.41 ($99.99 on sale for $84.99, "SAVE15" code for $15 off, free shipping for order over $75 (prior to discount), + tax of $3.42). I have been looking all over for a Made in USA stubby wrench set at a reasonable price, and I just haven't been able to find anything that comes close to this deal. I almost pulled the trigger on the Kobalt sets from Cripe Distributing, but they were $67 ($28.00 plus $5.50 shipping each) and were only 7 wrenches per set. So for $6.41 more, I gained full polish and 6 more wrenches.

Honestly, I'm not a big Craftsman guy, and I often knock their products, but the positive reviews seem like these are a step above the typical CM raised panel wrenches.

Sears will take it back no problem. I ordered duplicates of some of the 3/4" drive stuff when it first came out on clearance, and returned it to the store. Just bring the packing slip with you.

I have all the part #'s from the Craftsman Industrial catalog of all the wrench rolls they have, just not sure where you can order them from.
