Like some of you mentioned I bought two to get the 2nd battery. Later when I get some time I will put the 2nd unit for sale on eBay to recover at least some of my extra costs.
I bought it primarily for a power ratchet. I can see it being handy when wrenching in the shop.

edit: Looks like you have to follow the original link in the first post. I am unable to search for it or navigate to the nextec right angle driver from their website.

Just purchased 2 sets so the deal is still on. Says the price is good till June 16th. Also purchased the 100 piece bit set for $14.99.

I agree on using the original link. I've seen 4 different prices just in browsing the site.

Grand total for all three with club membership and $10 off coupon...$70.22 w/ free shipping. I feel like I just stole something. :D

Just went to sears and they won't price match it since they can't find it on the site. ***** because I was trying to get the 10 off for the club. I may have to just get it online.

Update...no longer available online, even after using the original link.

I wonder if this picture might help? I just snapped it off their website!

I tried that and he said they wouldn't match it unless it was found on the site. I showed it to him on my phone.

Well, I was chamfering some 1/2 -13 holes with a 5/8 chamfer bit. Even though its not the right tool for the job it worked fine. Putting some pressure and not going fast. After a few minutes the unit stopped working. LED light was flashing.
Took off battery, re inserted it and it kept going with out further problems.
I guess it's part of breaking in.

Just got back from Sears and got two of these for $39.98...Craftsman (or SYWR) Club gives an extra $10 each on these.....plus I scored the 12v Multitool Nextec on the Clearance rack (missing the 1 blade it comes with) for $8.87.

Interesting, the link in post #1 came up for me today, says $53.99 with an alleged regular price of $59.99, but it's now the TOOL ONLY. Has a little icon in the picture with the tool boldy stating "12V Lithium Ion Battery Sold Separately"

Guess the deal's dead. I had just decided I needed a spare battery too...

Very sleazy of sears. The item number from my invoice now comes up with that tool only link.

It runs till the 16th. Keep checking back cause they're probably just out of stock. Happened a couple days ago. Make sure to use the link in the first post.

I do agree with that. A tool a-la-carte should have a different part number than a kit. Being a Milwaukee guy I'm used to that; part numbers ending in 20 are tool-only, 21's have one battery+charger and 22's have two batteries+charger. 80's are recons.

I have the flashlight and the bigger drop light. They are both good but I prefer the fluorescent drop light over the flashlight.

By flashlight are we talking the 24 LED light? I noticed today it goes for like $15 on the Sears site. Hard to go wrong at that price. The drop light was $30, still not bad at all.

I have not seen the drop light. I will have to get on Sears website.

It's a flo and if I understood correctly what I read from searching GJ, uses the same bulb as their larger voltage (19.2?) light. Someone made mention of bulbs being cheap. It's also entirely possible I misunderstood.

WTF Sears????

They just showed back up but for $53.99 !!!!

And the regular price is down to $59.99

There's some shenanigans going on...
ACE Hardware has them for $39.99

That is the price for the tool only. The original link was for the kit (tool, battery, charger).

I searched for "nextec" on acehardware.com and it pulled up an ad showing the 3pc set for $69.99. It comes with drill, flashlight, multitool, charger, 2x batteries, and accessories.

That seems like a good deal. The drill seems to be well liked, altho I see one way they're saving $ is the plastic sleeve chuck. If the multi-tool works as well as Milwaukee's, it can be very useful. And I dont' see how the light couldn't be useful.

After using the tool for a bit, one thing I'm finding that I don't like about it is that the directional switch is way too easy to inadvertently change direction.

Probably from having to lay the tool on it's side because it's not very stable standing on end.

It's been on and off - well, it's on again. (Sears has the worst site on the web) I just got another one, not a bad way to buy battery's. It works out to 5 bucks for a charger and the tool as the battery is $25 and I have some of the other tools for this platform.

Still shows $53.99. Also says "Battery sold separately". Did is say that before when it was 30 bucks?
