Just isn't socially acceptable in the UK to carry anything larger or remotely combat/military styled. Even had some negative comments about this one. Carry it everyday on my keys.

Thought the pen may be useless but it gets used a lot for scribbling reminders on the back of my hand.

Carry a Buck 112 practically everyday. If I'm dressed up I carry either a Buck 55 or a Case medium stockman. Usually have a Irwin folding utility knife while I'm working. Here lately been carrying a Leatherman Wingman as well. It clips nicely in the leg pocket of my work pants. Cant imagine why anyone wouldn't carry a knife.

I'm at Nordstrom right now getting dress shoes with my pistol in plain sight and I get alot of weird looks. I kinda understand but still.

When I was like 15 where I grew up no one would bat an eye in the small towns, it was a way of life

If i walked outside my house with one of my shotguns, or my AR - i promise you the block would be filled with flashing lights..

In my early 20’s when i was living in Staten Island - someone called the police and told them i pulled a shotgun on them.. (this didn’t happen, I didn’t even own guns then) - 2 squad cars showed up to my house.

When i moved to Jersey, after a little too much to drink, me and my friend got into an argument with some guy at a Diner. It turned into me choking the guy. Police were called (obviously). Police from THREE ******* TOWNS RESPONED.

It was probably just their favorite diner.

They guy i hit turned out to be an off duty cop, someone recently hired.. So many police responed, that he couldn’t afford to press charges - cause he woulda got in more trouble than me if he tried to peruse it.. the police even gave me and my friend a ride home so we didnt drive. lol.

It's just a sensitivity issue nowadays. I just had a back and forth with someone waiting for the restroom because Nordstrom has the audacity to still have seperate gender bathrooms.

He probably didn't like that I laughed pretty loud when he said that lol. It's just crazy how quickly public opinion can change in a few short years.

I have carried a stockman of some sort since I was in grade school. My dad told me to carry a knife all the time and I have. I get so mad at my teenage boys because they never have one on them but they have them. I grow up in the country feeding hay so needed one everyday. Learned if it stayed in your pocket at school no one said anything. Of course we carried long guns in pickup to school everyday in plain sight. But I agree every one should have a knife on them maybe not big one but at least a small folder. High school here let them carry if under 1.5 blade awhile back but if out of sight out of mind.

Of course! Life is possible without carrying a pocket knife, but makes no sense!

My colleagues already bulls....ed me >>MacGyver<<, but once in a while every single one came up asking for my SAK to fix something in the office or in the lab. Currently it is a Pioneer X - rock solid swiss quality.

Everyday. Just picked up a Spyderco Para 3 and it is the best knife I have. Also carry BM Griptallion, Kershaw Leek, a couple of Case knives, a Boker, and some nice looking Santa Fe Stone works. Always get strange looks from people at work when I pull out a knife, but I also work at a Bank.

Absolutely never leave home without it. Kershaw spring assist, the only way to make it better if it was US made. I went to the beach today and didn’t have big enough pockets for a wallet so I just put my money and ID in the pocket clip, worked great.

I carry a Victorinox Cadet. Occasionally I'll get a weird look, but I only take it out when it has a job to do. That way anyone who may be tempted to ask why I carry it already has their answer.

Kershaw Chive is always in my watch pocket. Perfect size for me.
Just got a Kershaw Leek, but to me, it's a little too big for EDC.
Also have a Forge de Laguiole "picnic" folder in my glove compartment in case I need to pull a cork and a Leatherman Skeletool in the door pocket, just in case I need a pair of pliers.

Been carrying one since the 6th. grade, but this is what I've carried for several years. Changeable blades.

I've carried a Spyderco for over 15 years, but only in normal clothes...in work attire, I always have a sliding razor knife. I find the razor knife is a lot more useful, i can use it to cut damn near anything, and I don't really care if I lose it....although, I've had the same one for at least a couple years now, no telling how many blades I have been through.

I have several of those, & been carrying one for years. The pen does come in handy. That reminds me; I have to look for refills....
I actually use the scissors the most. They are amazing.

I should have included photo when I threw my 2 cents in a couple pages back. Forgot a lot of folks like pictures (me included). Here's pic of my Benchmade that gets loads of pocket time.

I carry one every day (now that I don’t fly weekly for my real job). I’ve probably got 40 Case knives in the safe, as my FIL and wife’s grandfather both like to give them for hgifts. I pretty much only carry one of my single blade folding knives, lately it’s been pretty exclusively one of my Kershaws. As many others have mentioned, they are fantastic blades for the price. Back when I traveled all the time, I spent more money mailing back my Case Peanut from TSA checkpoints than the knife was worth. TSA also got my Benchmade AFCK, which still makes me sick. Those things are $300-$500 every time I see them pop up for sale. Best knife I ever owned. I’ve also grown to like the folding utility knives for things that dull or chip normal blades. Pretty much all I use to cut or open boxes. It’s just too useful a tool not to have one with me everywhere that I can.

And to keep the picture theme rolling, I'm attaching this one as evidence that when I take the family out on Friday night (tonight) for dinner I try to dress a little neater. Might scare someone if I pulled that Benchmade out in a nice eating establishment (it needs a little cleaning, mind you, it's still razor sharp). As noted previously, I always carry a knife.

This Victorinox for me.
The truth is quite heavy, so soon I hope to get a knife as my next tool.

I'm guessing that this is a less expensive option if you absolutely must have a triangular bladed knife.

I believe in most(if not all) jurisdictions, blades that are sharpened on more than a single side are illegal to carry, and are considered "daggers".

This is why most boot knives, and legal switch blades/stilettos are only sharpened on one side.

I have edc'd a pocket knife since grade 7 when my pops gave me a little 1.5" blade that locked closed. My current edc is a crkt ripple 2 and a leatherman pst (since 1996. And holy smokes is the reissue ridiculously expensive, hope I never lose mine). Around the house/garden I've got a kershaw somethingerother on me.

Probably been mentioned, but I carry a replaceable blade outdoor edge at work. Not a high quality pocket knife, but just too convenient to be able to swap blades when I wreck one.
I sharpen them for a while before replacing.1736b3981a7e11c663999b5a2b5d3c80.jpg

Must have a knife on me. When wearing shorts and summer time its a Spyderco paramilitary 2. Pants its a zero tolerance 0560 that i waved for quick opening. Its big and more weight but sturdy. Saltwater fishing it's a Spyderco H1. No rust. I find a use for my knife multiple times a day. Opening boxes cutting cord and rope everything now is clam packaged. I feel naked without a knife must-have tool.

i always had the small buck, it was either the black one or the green one depending on my mood, folded up it was maybe two inches. I used it, to open crackers at break, cleaning finger nails, cutting tape. you know all the small stuff, not going be gutting a hog with it.

I broke my leg at work, the doctor was going have me arrested because the knife was in my pocket, and he was serious. he called it a concealed weapon. I dont need any hassle. so i dont even carry a knife any more

I always have an automatic knife in one pocket and a Gerber multitool on my belt. Leatherman Raptor EMS shears in the other front pocket. I also have a 5" Knipex Cobra and plier wrench and a small inspection flashlight. Always prepared and feel naked without them.
