Coolabah, I think I have all the additional tooling purchased now that I didn't have before needed to complete the gate.
- Spraygun
- Respirator and filters (non 2 pack paint)
- Small air belt sander
No decent break in the weather this weekend for any welding and we had a few things on anyway. So we wait another week. Have rain forecast until Thursday and hopefully some sun by the weekend. I need a full weekend to finish it up before we get to the painting prep phase. Anyway will see how we go.
I did potter about for a short while getting some measurements ready for a couple more overhead cabinets to the side of the panel door, I'll post pics of that when I get a bit further along.
Have spent a few evenings racking my brain to get the spindle assembly off the cold cut saw and tonight I finally had a win after coming into the garage after the kids were off in the land of nod.
I've posted a bit more rebuild thread here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333630 but basically I've been trying for ages to get this spindle assembly out without breaking anything with some guidelines from another member who had done the same rebuild.

A scrap of ply and a tyre lever and gently lever from behind the bearing and slowly turning the spindle around eventually got it out!

And then I could hold it in my hand as originally expected.

Then I could remove the screws holding in the motor assembly.

Really could have used this saw to cut a heap of steel a couple of weeks ago
At least I can try to get it finished up now.
And I didn't get any of that grease on my pyjamas
Cheers GB.
