Thanks! I appreciate the kind comments. It's been a labor of love and I get more and more excited as things come together. We are working on the lighting and receptacles. I will post more about that. I am uploading a video of the guys laying the floor on the mezzanine. Its a little hard to see because I put it at the farthest point away and its a bit dark. On the shortest edges its 3' 7" and in the middle its over 7'. Underneath is 9 foot clear and the top of the floor from the concrete is 10' 6". I don't think the mezzanine is depressing at all at the 9' height and I have 16' side walls so I couldn't really go any higher anyway.

A couple updates from today. We finished up the last wall today. Also we installed the recessed lights in the soffit of the porch. We put a light over each window and centered over the door. 7 in total. Looks pretty good.

Kudos to your electrician for properly mounting the bracing to the side of the purlins. The place is looking good.
Yeah these guys are good! They cut a chunk out of the unistrut to make it an L shaped bracket and tie it together. It was 7 lights taking 2 guys all day. I just checked it outside at night and one light is off by a few inches. I will move it before we cut the soffits.
Hyperikon whom I have bought a TON of lights from for my outdoor fixtures emailed me back once I sent them pictures of the bend diffuser and they said no problem you should have a new one in 3 to 5 days. Great service and highly recommended. I really like the light from the 4 high bay 150 watt units for the 40 x 40 area. I was contemplating adding a 5th in the center but it would be a waste. Also they have like a 200 or 250w version and I was afraid the 150's wouldn't be bright enough. I was wrong. 150W are just right for the 40x40

Building is looking good. The real fun is soon to start setting it up.
I am impressed with how bright these lights are. It is pretty good and I think they are pretty affordable at about $55.00 a piece and 70watts a piece. I have 10 of them in the bottom and that is about 6 amps total. Pretty nice. I need to start drawing the electrical plan as built so I can provide an update to the county.
I had two quotes for spray foam. One guy I used before came in about $10k for all closed cell. The other guy who I never worked with came in with more material (2 inches of closed cell on the walls and 5.5 inches of open cell on the ceilings) at $7k. I think using the open cell is a smart way to reduce cost.

Outside the wall of the bathroom I bought this sink to install. I figured it would be good for a bunch of things. I wonder if I should put a disposal on it....HMMM just a concern when we live off a septic system

6X6 Redwood? Those will make a beefy railing for sure. I'd round over those square edges.
Cedar posts. Yeah We might ease the edges but I feel like I am so excited to do stuff I am rushing it. I ordered and picked up the 20' foot long unistrut and order trolleys to prepare for the lift I want to use to get all my **** up there. The problem is I really need my garage doors ordered and installed, the floor cleaned and epoxied and then I need to get my CO but I can't get the CO until the water management is complete and I am waiting for the county council to consider a change to the requirements to the stormwater run off. Also I need to get the guy in to spray the insulation - but first the plumber has to rough in and I probably need an update inspection for that too!

Hey all just to add another chapter in the book I found a company by way of trying to find the paint to touch up my building who makes metal buildings. They seem to be even higher up in the food chain than Hornet themselves. I explained to the guy my problems and he said oh we wouldn't have let any of that happen to you. Seemed like a nice guy. After I spray foam I may order interior liner panels and this guy was so nice I am sure he would answer any questions I have 100 times

Painted my lights for the soffit with the color match Sherwin did for me. Looks pretty good. I forgot to look at the lights at night last night so I will get a night shot tonight.

Bought a fridge for the garage. I wanted black stainless. I have a plan to make a kitchenette hopefully with saber black cabinets. We will see how it works out. I got this at Lowes scratch and dent was $2100 marked down to $1300 and the last gave me 10% off but I bought the extended warranty which is costly at the $1170 fridge price for $200 for five years.
Meanwhile the fridge has no scratches looks like the plastic had the blemished. I peeled it back to check

I bought this damper for the bathroom exhaust. I put one on our house for the dryer. It's cool. I saw it in Fine Home Building magazine. It's magnetic so it stays closed has no fins for reduced air exhaust or to clog with lint. They are powder coated and seem really durable.

I want to wrap the two walls with something on the outside of the bathroom. I went to Lowes (where I bought the fridge only because it seemed like a great deal) to experiment and research coverings. I mocked up some shiplap they sell but it's crappy pine with bad finish. Also it isn't water proof. I wanted something I could possibly hose down. Originally I was thinking of frp like you see in commercial kitchens but that's not the look I think I want. I think we are going to use a laminate flooring product to pretty up this pig. Let me know if anyone has thoughts and experiences with flooring(laminate) on the walls.

It will make the rustic look like I wanted. The problem is to glue this stuff up you need very expensive glue (Silicone Adhesive) because of the foam backer. I called Liquid Nail and they told me that they sell Fuze It which they suggest and its about the same as the GE silicone. Its a modified silicone. They don't recommend anything else... Its about $8 a tube - not cheap!

Thanks! Cars are covered in ash and we have a few friends who are in the evacuation zone. It rained a good bit today and this afternoon but it still isn't enough. I am still pretty far away - but still worrisome and troubling for our friends. They water their roofs! The other crappy thing is that people are robbing the homes because they are all vacant. What is wrong with people! Thanks for the concern - much appreciated.

Starting to see rust through on sheeting and components. Seems to be happening with closed and open cell. Most warranties are void if foam is applied. Check with the manufacturer. If a sheet is damaged it is almost impossible to replace because it is glued to the building. Since they didn't use a thermal isolation tape when it was erected that kind of complicates things now. I have a customer that did spray foam about eight years ago and recently got a call about some rust issues. Long story short, looks like the building will have to be stripped down to the frame, sand blasted, painted, insulated with blanket insulation and new sheeting. He is going around in circles with the insurance company now. Pole buildings are not immune either. Similar problems are showing up including wood rot.
Spray foam is a great product and seemed like a perfect solution for large open buildings. Nobody foresaw the problems we are seeing now. You might want to contact an insulation contractor that is familiar with metal buildings and ask about solutions. If they mention spray foam keep looking. They are obviously not up on current events or don't care.

I wonder if there is water trapping behind the insulation between the panel. I really want to seal and as I read most people are using closed cell on metal buildings. My contractor goes up to the space coast and sprays big hangars for spacex
