Purchased one of the .01 chainsaws as a display had the battery contacts taped up, removed taped functioned great.
Also tried to purchase a makita high torque impact wrenchs that were on clearence was told makita owns the display tools and they weren't the stores to sell. Not sure if he was actually knew or not lol.

I've been told that too, then 2 weeks later you'll see it on the clearance shelf. These employees just tell you the first thing that poops out their ****.
Found a Echo CS-370 chainsaw at one store (no SKU available, I don't think it was ever sold in stores). First manager claims she can't sell it because it's missing a part which makes it a "liability issue" (duh, every friggin display model is missing something). 6 weeks later (yeah, it's still in the store), another manager claims it's reconditioned, but can't find the SKU for it anywhere (no it's not reconditioned, and if it was, it would have a SKU engraved on it. It's also still missing the same part). So this manager says he can sell it but the other says she can't. The completely contradict each other. Brought it up to corporate to find out what the deal is with this saw and why the managers are all giving me BS stories. Now when I walk in that store, EVERY employee watches me. Newington, NH.
Managers there are pretty arrogant. The only SKU number available for that saw is a Canadian HD sku number, which pulls up some wooden thing (not the chainsaw) at penny price. I tried to play that one, but couldn't pull it off.
