Yep. The only decent penny items I can find in TX are the Ridgid tile blades. As others said, I think our region is simply a few months behind and we'll start seeing the discounted faucets, Schlage locks, chainsaws, etc. in March or so.

Yep. The only decent penny items I can find in TX are the Ridgid tile blades. As others said, I think our region is simply a few months behind and we'll start seeing the discounted faucets, Schlage locks, chainsaws, etc. in March or so.

I think most of your problem is all the other people in your area doing the same thing you are trying to do.

Pretty sure that is not the case. The Temp2o faucets, Schlage electronic door locks, Echo TimberWolf saws, etc can all be found at any HD store in my area and are still being sold at full price.

Pretty positive the Temp faucets are clearance nationwide, the door looks you have to make sure you are looking for the correct ones, and the chainsaws only clearanced at a few stores.

Hit up a couple of stores today, didn't see any penny items but did see one store rearrange the seasonal section for a bathroom vanity event in a few days.

Those faucets are not clearance everywhere. And I don't believe that Schlage lock has been posted here.

The one SPN posted above comes up as ship only at your store.

I was just showing that they are available and listed at full price on HD.com BUT also stated I looked these items up in the store using the Price Check App and prices are still full price.

Keying in the SKU's provided by other members (mostly on the East coast) into the in-store Price Check app still shows all these items at full price. I physically find each item and they are not yellow-tagged and are still regular price just has it shows on the Price Check app. You will note others in Texas are finding the exact same thing. Most of these penny deals are simply not available in my area at this time and said items can still readily be found in any of the (12) HD's in my area.

Using the Price Check app, the Ridgid tile blades are the only ones that showup as Clearance - $.01. All other items folks are getting for a penny are still showing full price.

Went to looking for the 13 inch Milwaukee box and they have a ton. The person at customer service indicated the price was still $32ish but on clearance. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm pretty sure that all of the schlage lockets are independent of the store. I've seen a variety of different stores have different clearance schedules. They also vary dependent on the Lockset itself, the ones spn posted are full price at the stores I checked today. Some stores have the touchpad deadbolts clearance priced and others do not. Just because they aren't clearance today does not mean that they won't be tomorrow.

Had my first encounter with a penny finder today. He tried to grab out two penny schlage locks from my cart when I was looking at doors. My g/f noticed and asked for them back. Guy didn't look like he belonged in a home depot and was clearly offended by the request.

I know everyone's into deals and stuff but try not to be shady about it....Ruins the fun of finding a deal. This could also be attributed to the area we were in but whatever. Just don't be a jerk.

Check the reviews on this tape - not very positive. At a penny I would consider buying a couple rolls for emergency use (car, truck, etc.) but not sure if I would put a lot of trust in same.....

The only thing we were saying to ourselves was he looked scuzzy (in the homeless kind of way) and was darting through the store.

Aside from that, no other problems finding things.

Found a half dozen 24" Husky toolboxes @ $4 each... looks like leftover BF stock. Ironically, these are better than the "regular" item which is still on the shelf at $14 each (Both are 24" Husky boxes, but these have a metal handle, the regular ones have a plastic handle). Not the world's best toolboxes, but good for garage storage.

Also found four really nice swivel barstools on the clearance endcap for $24 each. Made the wife happy... we've been in the market for new stools for a while but at $150+ per stool we never found anything we "loved". At $24 each, these are "just fine". =)

Be sure the black Ridgid blades are models that start with "CP". I've noticed there are a few that look very much alike but have the wrong model number. I rang those up and they were full price.
