Re Amazon, Is there anything you can do after you buy something and they reduce the price. I'm tired of the way their prices go up and down.
Is there anyway to know when the price will bottom out.

If you happen to use Google Chrome, there is an add on called Tracktor that will put a graph of historic prices on amazon pages. It doesn't cover everything, so a lot of tools etc are ignored, but it can be useful.

Thanks to Skin and gtivr4,
Any tutorials on how to do an RSS feed, I'm not sure what that is.
I guess I need to be patient with Amazon

Harbor Freight Coupons

Good Morning! Harbor Freight has updated today pricing on all the items due to go on sale tomorrow at their "sidewalk sale". So presumably I can print out the pricing and go get the things I want today and beat the crowd. Unfortunately I left my 20% off coupon at home, 40 minutes in the wrong direction.

Anybody know which magazines on the news stands now have a coupon? I'll spend five bucks to save twenty on my way to the store. :) Thanks!

The new Maxim mag (with the 3D pics of Anna Kornikova) has one in the very back. Not sure that's on the stands yet, though.

Thanks fellas! Just got back from HF, bought $550 worth of cheap Chinese **** for $285 including tax! W00T! Got a coupon out of Car & Driver.

Again: HF has already lowered the Internet prices on the "Sidewalk Sale" items. The in-store sale is scheduled to start tomorrow, but if you print out the web pages (I just printed my "wish list"), they will honor those prices today. So you can get the deals, more will be in-stock, and beat the crowds.

(They had those $80 800 Watt generators stacked to the ceiling, but were thin on some things like 4000 lb racing jacks.)

All the Bahco socket sets in blow mold cases i've seen were made in taiwan.

Most of the tools are the same as Williams. They may be Swedish but since Snap-On purchased them their production seems to be largely Asia/USA.

I picked up a 5 drawer service cart for 119$ at the last parking lot sale. Time for another one. I don't know what I'll use it for, but it will be nice to have.

I went to HF this morning for the 6ton jackstands and saw they had the 16pc 1/2" sae deep impacts on clearance for $8 plus change. I didn't pick up a set but if they had metrics I definitely would have. I probably should've gotten the sae set anyway but oh well.

All of the sockets/ratchets/wrenches on Amazon sale that I looked at are marked and described as USA made.

I think this has been posted a million times:

http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=0&t=1276399

Now let's make this easily searchable with some search terms: Harbor Freight Coupon, Harbor Freight Coupon, Harbor Freight Coupon, Harbor Freight 20% Coupon, Harbor Freight 20% Off Coupon, Harbor Freight 20 Percent Discount Coupon, Harbour Freight Coupon, Harbor Fright Coupon, Print Harbor Freight 20% Coupon, Printable Harbor Freight 20% Discount, Harbor Freight is Too Expensive I Need 20% Discount Coupon, Does Anybody Have Harbor Freight 20% Discount, I Searched Everywhere But Could Not Find Harbor Freight 20% Coupon, 20% Coupon For Cheap Chinese Tools.

OK...any NON-HF deals out there? Or is this turning into the all-HF hot deals thread?

there are good deals on the discontinued KD hand tools

It helps to know the item number, then you can google the number to find he deals

I found a website that listed over 1200 obsolete KD numbers with no description

Some i googled were master sets

if I had an old KD catalog it would help

Woody's shows the obsolete KD numbers;
http://www.woodys-auto-supply.com/mobile/mobile-auto-parts-catalog.asp?cat=KDT-000&pg=140

Do you have any sites or links that you have ordered from?

:headscrat ...And I always do.

Check this thread, you'll notice I post non-HF deals frequently.

Am I not pulling my weight?

Didn't say that - there's not really any weight to be pulled.

You just seem perturbed at the number of HF deals being posted. I guess it just doesn't bother me as much, and when someone is upset with the ratio of HF to non-HF deals, my first thought is to challenge them to do something about it.

Me, I'm happy to see deals, period. I don't check adverts as often as I could, so when something comes up, it's nice to see it, regardless of the source.

Now, if I took that the wrong way, my apologies.

Much as I would enjoy responding to your "challenge," this isn't a good thread for a ******* match.

But here's what I'd like to say to everyone who enjoys this thread: clearly there is weight to be pulled here. A lot of people coast, while a few (such as this thread's OP) really work hard at finding and publishing deals (society in a microcosm). And obviously the most valuable posts are the ones that find good deals on quality products that we might have overlooked otherwise. Now go have a nice day.

HD has phillips CFLs 4 packs for the price of a single bulb. 60w equivalent are 1.24 / 75w and 100w $6. They are normally around $15

My local power company (dp&l) is subsidizing the deal, so Im not sure if it the same every where else. I know you can find the cheapy no name multi packs for less than $5 all the time, but those bulbs take forever to warm up and I havent had much luck with them lasting as long as they should. Good time to stock up
