All of the sockets/ratchets/wrenches on Amazon sale that I looked at are marked and described as USA made.

i did say the socket sets in the blow mold cases. Trust me, i bought one. Was none too happy with the taiwan COO on it as it was not a cheap set. The stand alone ratchets, wrenches, and at least the impact sockets [not sure about the small socket sets] are made in the US and are the same as williams.

While a few spectacular HF deals certainly deserve being posted here, if this thread were to become a duplicate of the omnipresent HF flyers, I'd stop posting to this thread, or reading it. I sincerely hope this valuable thread doesn't succumb to Harbor Blight and become yet another extended HF sales flyer.

I love those under $10 deals at Amazon with prime shipping. I almost pulled the trigger on this one after reading this. Reading the reviews it looks like this is a really small knife though.

"2 1/8 inch (5.4 cm); closed: 3 inch (7.6 cm); weight: 1.1 oz"

Might work well for some purposes.

Prime is the bargain-shopper's best friend. The annual fee isn't that bad, espcially if you're going to make a bunch of under $25 purchases. It doesn't hurt that it's 2-day shipping, as well.

The pack comes with a 5,10,15,20 and 30amp fuse in it.

I forget who first posted this trick. Maybe Stuey? Anyway, whomever it was, thanks. My 1-60 and A-Z sets are now 100% complete, filled in with USA-made bits.

they had a pretty big recall on their fuses several years ago. They werent popping and cars were burning up. As often as I have to change a fuse I think Ill spend the extra $1 and avoid a potential incident

The recall was about the fuses getting hot and plastic shrinking until the two posts made contact turning a 20 amp fuse into a 100 amp fuse and setting the wiring on fire on a few cars.

Nothing but Buss or Littlefuse for me.

The recall was 3 years ago and I actually had one of the recalled packages and returned it. The replacements I got have been in my Jeep for the past three years and I have not had a single problem with any of them.

Thanks for this one. You can never have enough drill bits! I have a couple of sets and a bunch of odd balls in a drawer. Need to get a decent set of letter bits, and like to have extra bits for taps because seem like I use them the most. So 25 dollars to get free shipping means 125 bits at .20 cents!

Looks like I got some looking to do tonight! Hopefully these aren't one of those things that go up in price all the time.

I went to another HD and it was $129, for that price I picked one up simply for the fact that I already have a Dewalt 14.4V XRP drill and $129 is cheaper than 2 replacement batteries. It is indeed the DCD920KX, and it is a very nice little drill.

This can be combined with the current sale prices.
For example, they had the 4 piece 18v set (circular, reciprocating, light, drill) on sale for $400 - $100 = $300.

Not sure if this was directed at me, but if so, it is a pretty damn good price, since I paid over $160 for a Dewalt 14.4V on sale over 4 years ago. Amazon is ~$175 for this drill, and other sites I checked were still at $199. As far as whether or not I wanted it, I wanted two more batteries for my current drill and it was cheaper to buy this set, where I got the drill and 2 additional batteries. Otherwise I wouldn't have been looking at it. Plus I am in the middle of a basement remodel, so it is coming in handy for hanging sheetrock and other tasks.

yeah, i agree they are crappy sizes for regular use, but when using with a screwdriver handle, anything above 25-30 is kinda out of the question anyways. I actually found myself using the t-8. Buddy needed help replacing some buttons on his factory headunit/radio.

Not a pro but I find for misc work and auto work 8, 15, 20, 27, 30, and 40.

That's a Macintosh (#8) and a BMW the rest.

Interior work sometimes -- door panels, etc. I find the long 30 and 40 can be useful.

Can't fit a regular torx socket into those areas. Mabe a long torx socket...

Not sure how much of a deal this is but Sears is going to have the IR 2 stage type 30 pump with a 60 gallon tank compressor on sale starting tomorrow for $999 with the craftsman club. The lowest I have found it so far is from northern tool.

Anyone know how to stack some coupons or get it a little cheaper through sears? I plan to order one this weekend.
