No i didn't, it wasn't requiring 2 persons and i didn't have to take it apart like my heavy vises to move so i just did it. my guess would be 25/30 lbs. When filled it displays 41 wrenches.

I’m not sure what is supposed to be In this box, it has all matching 3/8 drive pieces. 3/8” - 1” sockets, two extensions. And the ratchet of course. I believe it needs a B-1220 5/16” socket. I also believe that a couple of the bigger sizes may have been added on. Generally sets like this run up to 3/4”. This one Does have 13/16. 7/8, 15/16, and 1” does anyone have any input on this?

Those site are handy to have, although most of them I’ve seen have been destroyed. Pins busted broke ect.. Nice one you have. There are a couple vintage ratchets ratchets I’ve seen that require that type of tool to disassemble. Actually I’m sure at least some of old Williams ratchet do have the pin holes that tool.

good 1! do u know this place for info?
http://alloy-artifacts.org/williams-supercompany.html

Wrench: very cool and nice that you found a good spot to hang it. Also looks like you’ll have it full of wrenches soon. Well done sir!!
thanks, but my calculation shows only bout 18 wrenches coming of the 41 the board displays. i think the "s" wrenches maybe the toughest to find.

needed list.

Not wartime. That's a 50s logo. EDIT: Could very well be military. We see the black oxide practice continue on tools made for former Allies and then NATO countries. Not just Williams. Billings. Fairmount. Etc.

Thanks lugtz. I post this page of the 1923 hardware book i'm using as reference for collecting the wrenches ineed. The list is on the left of this page under the 90" wrench description. I'm only looking for the body numbers listed AND considering all single stamped letters on the wrench. It must have the listed body number first.

double clik 4 big.

here's list of whats needed now.
21.

626S, 629E, 632X, 637.

661D, 661E, 662D, 663E, 663A, 664B.

77B, 77S, 79S.

725, 731.

90D, 94, 96.

I don't care about its logo now, it must have the body number listed above.

I did find one that says light service but it’s kinda rough condition I’ll post it on here this evening.
If it says "LIGHT SERVICE WRENCH" on the shank, it's probably not correct. These are older, with a 3-digit model number with a prefix (6) embedding the later 2-digit model number that wrenchguy is looking for. I posted two of them here. Post #386. EDIT: Personally, I would probably use them anyway, but that's up to Wrenchguy. It's his big *** wrench board! :)

"You complete me," the board said to the recently acquired 15" adjustable.

HAHA! Now that's how to show an update! Well done, tym.

Why do some of the DOE wrenches only have one size marking on the board? That confuses me.

And what size is the DOE wrench with the darker finish?

They all have two size markings; in some cases, the wrench is covering one of the markings. I assume this is because the wrenches are from all different eras, and the length varied a bit relative to what the board-maker was expecting. I also find that they don't quite all fit next to each other if I have the larger open end facing up on all the wrenches, again suggesting the dimensions varied a little over time.

The two larger darker finish ones are 1-1/4 x 1-1/16 and and 1-1/8 x 1.

nice job on ur board, r u planning on doing anymore? Filling boards seems to give williams wrenches some star power in tool collecting circles.

I'm not sure if these are vintage or not, but I'm interested in getting a larger set of combo wrenches. This 9pc Superwrench set is for sale locally, they want $95, it doesn't seem that even good wrenches go for much money now because all the mechanics seem to use ratcheting wrenches or socket a lot more these days.

Is this a value? How old? Quality wrenches? Better options?

Thanks for any info,

That set is really nice, they are vintage. And that’s not a bad price, it does go up to 1-1/2. Very high quality .

Got a load from ssdave 2day! My favorite of the bunch is a 33d with this stamp or etching. The 3 refinished ones are for the board, the 5 others were a surprize! Thanks dave! Thanks all that have helped! Got just over 1/2 of the 41.

Had 2 highlight the "H".

Still needed list.

I would say 95 is a steal for those. Each larger piece say 1-1/4 and up has more value. They’re in nice condition. I would say your 1-7/8 alone is worth around 30-40 by Itself. Maybe more

You convinced me, I checked and even current Chinese Home Depot wrenches in this size range are $90 for a six piece set (plus tax). Ended up getting these nine for $70.00. They really appear unused.
