Wow, down to $12.58 online, that's a deal.
Can someone post a link for the $12.58 price?
Item #: 436178
Model #: 87058
comes up as $17.97 on Lowes' website. At $12.58 I'd have to pick up a couple more sets for gifts.

Interesting.
I clicked on the link agpatel posted and it brought up my local Lowes with the same $17.97 price. I changed to a Lowes 30 miles away as Hootbro suggested and the price dropped to $12.58.
Lowes pricing is weird - wonder if they price match their own site?

Down to $10 here so i got a 2nd
What? Soon Lowes will just be throwing them in your bag with every purchase. They must really want to get rid of these. I bought one anyways. Yep all duplicates of what I already have but the ratchet is nice and for the price can't be beat.
............ I just don't understand lowes incisive need to unload them.
They didn't market these properly. They won't sell for their original price as a "add-on" item in the lawn mower isle.
Agreed. I'm speculating that not more than one in ten people that go in to buy a lawn mower at Lowe's knows how or cares to turn a wrench on that lawnmower. That's not a put-down, it's just the way of things. My neighbor saw me taking apart my push mower (that had been in storage 6 years), and when I said I had to clean out the carburetor, he said, "You lost me at 'carburetor'."![]()
But it may also be a marketing mis-step that they packaged this as a "spark plug tune-up kit." Some people who do turn a wrench might glance at it and think, "I already have the tools to change spark plugs," and not see what we've seen, "Hey, that's a great price on a decent ratchet!"

Also, why package a long-handled flex head ratchet for a "spark plug tune up kit"
Anyway, if anyone is wondering what the insides look like. Of course, it was bone dry like just about every overseas ratchet.

There is a pic of this ratchet on page 7 completely disassembled and discussing it being bone dry, as well as a head to head comparison photo vs. the HF ratchet on page 9.
Whoops I missed that post.
Your picture is a great close up and give great detail with the cover off, the best close up yet. The pic on page 7 has the pawl and springs removed too, so I thought it was worth mentioning.great picture.
if 1/10 of people could take pic like you, on craigslist, it would be amazing. all this technology and people cant snap pics.
Whoops I missed that post.
