+1 I will never understand those people. Good on you for rescuing him.
Well I finally get to post in this thread. Meet Max. my 2yo. German Shephard rescue. Still a little shy but starting to come out of his shell. Previous owner burned him across his back (hair grew back in white stripes). There is a special place in hell for some people...
Pardon my language but if Max's first owner did that on purpose I would like to beat that sick ******* down and physically cripple and maim him for the rest of his horrible life.
I'm glad you found Max. He definitely deserves a great life after that rotten start. I don't understand what the hell is wrong with people but I just wish we could round up any type of abuser and make them stop breathing.
This is my boy Charlie, he was a huge boy... unfortunately passed away two years ago due to cancer..
We rescued a black doberman.. the previous owners had a a newborn and used that as an excuse to beat and not feed him for whatever reason....Hes doing great now.. we have 115 acres and he spends all day outside running chasing things and in the shop. People who can do that stuff to helpless animals I don't care, cat, dog, rabbit, horse whatever should be hurt.
Very, very sorry to hear that. But EXCELLENT that you took that sadness and rescued a mistreated animal.
Can you post a picture? After cowards that hurt animals are found, tried and imprisoned (I wish!) a condition of their relase ought to be that they are NEVER again allowed to own ANY kind of animal. Animals are totally innocent and the humans that hurt or mistreat them do not deserve a 2nd chance in my opinion.

Cool social club for dogs you have going there Rich. They must love getting to hang out with their buds. I wish I lived in an area where dogs could roam the neighborhood and stop in to visit. It was like that when I was a kid many decades ago and I've always missed that as suburban neighbors have become more isolated over time.

It's been a while, we've had a couple new additions, in case you didn't catch it, we like Schnauzer's, we're collecting the whole set:
Back-right: Cappy, our rescue male.
Back-left: Zoe, our spoiled-rotten-since-birth-puppy.
Front-and-center: Maggie, our foster dog who TRIES to rule the roost despite the fact that she's 1/3 the size of the other two. She's up for adoption if anybody is looking for an awesome dog, PM me!

Wow, his color has really changed over the years. Is that an Akita?
