I've got 3 that like to hang with me. But I'll feature hank. He's been a loyal companion for 18 years. I think he is corgis mixed with golden retriever. But, he sure is funky looking. One day, I was in the garage, and I heard something eating the dog food. It was hank, as a puppy. Someone just dumped him. From that day on weve had some good times. These days, he mostly chills. He is blind and def, but still has a lot of *****, especially around dinner time!20200519_164737.jpg
Happy home for 18 years. Lucky dog and owner.

I'm glad he found a good home. People have dumped dogs in my neighborhood too. It's so sad and so terribly wrong.

Wheelingit you made a great choice in lines. I have a 3/4 East German and 1/4 Check. They have excellent temperaments compared to most American lines. They are also very protective if that interests you. Paul

She has an excellent temperment and many people have commented on it. She is in training and will ultimately be trained as a family protection dog.

What's a "Schwann" man? I almost wondered if you meant Schwinn, like in bicycles!

Our mailman, Kit carries treats but mostly he's just the nicest man you could ever meet. Even on 110* days he's cheerful. With his Chinese accent and his mask it's a little hard to understand sometimes but he's always cheerful.

He's the guy with the pale yellow truck full of frozen food. You order online, and they deliver. Comes every two weeks around here.

Cool....and interesting.

28 minute video? NAH.....didn't watch it.

I don't THINK I've ever seen them in Southern California. Maybe an east coast thing?
Nope. All 48 of the contiguous states have them. Whether one delivers in your area or not and frequency could vary.

The icecream cups were a great treat growing up. If you did chores around the farm you earned treats...no freebies from grandma or grandpa. I got lots, but I earned them. My cousins on the other hand didn't earn many icecream cups.

Chowder reminds me an awful lot of my Sooner boy. Since they're white the white on their muzzles didn't show and it wasn't apparent how old they truly were. My prior black Lab, Dudley went from jet black to having a reverse Zorro mask of white on his face and he looked very old at a still fairly young age. He lived to 14 and was almost fully white in the face at the end. Rest in Paradise, Dudley, Sooner and Chowder. We'll see you all again we hope!

Erma Linda Lickskillet is my Dobie/Shepherd mix...

IMG_1472-M.jpg
Erma looks EXACTLY like a blend of Doberman and German Shepherd like you describe. We have Oly, who is also a Doberman/German Shepherd. My son had his DNA tested and he came out 50/50 but he doesnt look at all like Erma really. Interesting how nature mixes and matches them. Here's Oly:

She was a cutie pie and has grown up to be a very pretty pooch. How old is she?

Our Oly was a little goofball. He's 12 now and time grows short for such a big dog. He is a gentle giant and is/was our son's dog 250 miles away but has known us since he was a pup. Son is doing full time work & college so Oly was getting zero attention. Son would leave the back door open a little so he could go outside but he was alone nearly 24/7. Since we brought him home he's been showered with attention and love. Fortunately, he's thriving now. I've also gone to giving him one aspirin per day in the evening and it really IS a "miracle drug". He's put on weight, his messed up hind leg doesn't make him whimper anymore, and best of all he's very happy when our son and grand daughter visit (often). Pleases me to make his later years good ones for him. Such a good old soul.

Today's pic is of a naughty, shameful GSP. Couldnt figure out why my WiFi was so bad in the garage.

He appears remorseful, but I'm not buying it.

Much training this one needs before he becomes a good garage dog.

Gotta give him more chew toys. Ones with flavor he can't stop chewing on. Lots of them.

I think he has too many toys. He's torn up half a dozen stuffed animals (not getting any more), a few Chuckit balls, 4 antlers chews, a couple flavored chews, and my Labs bed. He's well behaved overall and has left everything else in the house alone but at only 6 1/2 months old he's got a tons of energy and gets bored easy...even after I spend quite a bit of time with him. I grew up with a GSP and my father has had GSPs for the better part of 50 years...and we've never had a puppy with this much motor. On the advise of our vet he got neutered right at 6 months. He'll calm down...eventually...with some work.

On a side note, I've always been told a GSPs with a white tipped tail can be little devil's...and his is solid white for about an inch.

^^^ She's part fish because she's part Labrador and from her head shape/face she's got some Boxer or Pitt in her. Labs are neurotic about loving the water. Mine were anyway.

Lambeau posing with a completed project for the boss. Did some restoration on a small cement cow that supposedly came off her grandparents farm many moons ago and freshened up the paint.
