Despite being caked in grime, I spotted the classic Herbrand blue on the handle of this clutchhead at the flea this morning.

It's been noted on several other threads, including the MAC thread. Use the Index in the Sticky to find it. Despite the similarities of the beehive shifter, PowderKeg thinks they came from Wright. His rationale can also be found in the MAC thread.

Herbrand S-10 1/2” ratchet, I believe from the mid to late ‘40s

Picked this up a long time ago for a dollar, one of my favorite tools and it sees plenty of use.

Newest purchase- everything works but could use some cleanup and a paint job. Not sure if I'll keep it or not but I couldn't resist buying it.

Yesterday, I failed to get a picture of a red treasure chest. I don’t think I’d seen one before.
Today, I snapped a pic of this Triangle-era DBE, because I hadn’t seen LocRite broaches on Herbrand before. The same vendor has had a pretty complete pouch of Triangle-era SAE combos with standard 12pt broaches, priced at $30 for months, and no one has bought them. I don’t collect Herbrand, but it is bothering me that no one recognizes their quality.

I like that box, among other things. I’ve always wanted the ratcheting spark plug wrench, but not enough to pay what I have seen them offered for.

Yup seems like they are up in the 40$ range now. Got the box from another gj member. It has been the repository for my herbrand odds and ends. An underrated brand for sure.

Could you show the Herbrand ignition pliers buried in one of the pictures? I’m trying to find out who supplied RTEC pliers during WW2 and I don‘t have a Herbrand pair for comparison.

I’ve also got the stethoscope, but mine is missing one of the ear pieces. Since I only have one ear, it doesn’t bother me!

Hi All

Managed to be in the right place at the right time and picked up this sweet set of Herbrand wrenches with the vinyl wrap.

Interestingly ... two 1/2 inch wrenches and no 9/16 - so I guess I'm on the lookout for the missing wrench to complete the set.

I took some pictures of two different styles of Herbrand obstruction wrenches yesterday while unsuccessfully searching for Chromium Vanadium tools.

I believe we've confirmed that Herbrand was indeed a supplier of "Chromium Vanadium" products to at least one company.

These are too close in design for me to not consider the possibility that they have the same manufacturer. Since I know the top brand is known for making other brander’s tools, I’m going to guess they may all have been made by Bonney. In order, they are Bonney 3/4” drive, Herbrand 1/2” drive, Herbrand 3/8” drive, and Mac 3/8” drive.

I believe from the above selection that the wide three slots tally with the battery tool set.

The white top corner and name ranging suggest another year.

You'd want to peruse through the other catalogs on ITCL (link above) - there is no shortage of vintage Herbrand catalogs online. I just picked the earliest one I had to pick through because of the graphics on your pouch.
Herbrand's not a brand I really collect, other than some sets from the Triangle era.
