Came to post about the exact same problem. How do/did you handle this? I had free shipping with mine so no insurance.

I just send the seller a note stating I received an empty envelope with a large hole in it (the post office was kind enough to tape over it after the ratchet fell out). Both times I've gotten an apology and a refund.

I think the Super Bowl distracted a lot of potential bidders. This auction ended 4 mins after GB won. I wasn't expecting to win it for the price I took it at...

I know shipping is a little bit of a killer, and I don't much care about the socket, though I'm sure it's a good one.

I plan on getting a good set of chrome sockets to go with it.

So how did I do?

edit: oh yeah, this is my first SO tool. I blame this board.

I want both of those, they are on my list to buy

So, I didn't need this. At all. In fact, I had just purchased a nearly identical set, and shipping was a fair amount... but how could I pass it up?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260734751359&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I'll just resell one of the sets.

I've passed by deals like that because of the shipping, I hate spending the money and not getting my eBay Bucks because they do that.

I have those exact two tool. Love 'em.

By far the nicest pliers I've used so far

Girlfriend found these for me on eBay last week :D

I'd definitely reccomend the the NWS combos, they're excellent pliers and far better than Knipex's equivalent. (Which i also have.) But so far i've found that those tiny Knipex waterpumps are a bit too small to really do anything with. Nicely made and finished but they're just too small. I have the 180mm Cobras and they're about as small as you realistically need.

Yeah anodized titanium blue like shanker said. It is just to look pretty as I have a fully polished version that I use. Like many others on here I've found I like collecting ratchets lol

Here's a minor one, but what the heck. Freud Diablo metal cutting blades work great with a 7-1/4" circular saw. Problem is, they used to be all over ebay for $20, but the lot that fell off a truck or whatever finally all got sold off and the only ones available were for $40 on Amazon. I set up an automatic search on ebay and one showed up from a seller. New in the wrapper still. I got it for $1.04. Sweet.
