I added a few Mechanics Time Saves Twist lock wrench holders to the top of my Waterloo service cart. I did run a few rivets thru the top into them to ensure they do not come loose. I have rubber tread on top of my cart lid, the same stuff I have on my side cab.

Also added a few magnet bars for wrenches.

A few pics, I don't think I have them all uploaded yet. The majority of these tools were bought in the early 80's, except for the Hitachi's and the Wright impact sockets. I still need to throw some more chrome sockets in there. I'm missing the pic of upper right drawer which is 4 Hansen 3/8" drive and 2 Hansen 1/4" drive socket organizers.

Heres my Gedore cart. I'm working on my two cars and my motorcycle with it. Tools are Gedore, Gedore/Rahsol, Hazet, Stahlwille, Wera and Wiha.

I notice you're using the "spring type" wrench holders made from wire. Did you get that idea from here?

Of coure I've seen it here. Sooner or later I will have to get a bigger cart and a toolbox or two...

Alright I guess I'm the only one that has one here so I'll post my Muscle cart.

Here's the cart opened a little to see. Has two drawers in the inside both roller bearing. The doors open and swing all the way around and magnets hold them to the sides. There are full length pry bar holders on the sides of the inside of the upper lid area. It's nice because the pry bars are completely covered and the actual shanks are not visible from the sides when locked down. The extra doors that swing open hold items for you and you can add drawers if you don't like the space below the doors. The lid has a recess with two super magnets that can hold tools when closed or open. The lid also comes off the struts and can be folded over completely if you need room. Sometimes it's nice when under a lift that you need lower while working on it.

I just ordered one of these last week. My matco dealer is supposed to bring it buy tomorrow. The only difference is i have the extra 3 drawers on mine.

my trustly old blue point cart next to my new snap-on cart im using as a small cab/main box. i got it once i completely ran out of room in my blue point, the snap on dealer was amazed at how much i had in it. about 2 months later and the snap on is getting pretty full, but i plan on stuffing these two till i can pay off the snap on bill i have right now ($5000), then trade in the snap on and get a kra 3 bay with work station and hutch. the blue point holds all my most used stuff and rolls around the shop with me, but i dont stray to far cus the snap on cart holds my tunes.

my buddy at the shop got one in flat black a month before i got mine, i couldnt pull the trigger on a cab cus i want a top with it, and that means a crazy price, so i got this to hold me over for a year or so. think i might get the carbon fiber handles, they look killer. and you might have to fight my snap on dealer for it, he said when i trade it in, if its still in good condition he'll give me full pop for it. yes, i buy a lot from him.

Punkenduro, that black 40" cart is sick! Thats actually what Im in the market for right now, and that picture shows it beside the exact blue point cart I have now!

Does it have a problem storing large prybars? The blue point cart has the over sized holes that the "cups" fit down in to allow for big bars, just didnt know if the KRSC46 had the same deal.

both are mine . yes, the black one can hold pry bars fine, the red one i have to take them out and lay them in the top to close it. i love both, the red one rolls with me from car to car, the black one is basicly a box for now. i saw your other post, i want to see how mine looks with the side cab, i might need it soon as im buying tools far to fast.

Who makes those flex head wrenches? BluePoint?

Looks like you are addicted to those sugar drinks, you must be young.

I like all the Snap-on stuff. Impressive. I try to mainly use Snap-on stuff myself. Just feel better that way.

Yes, bluepoint wrenches.

I'll admit my habit is energy drinks, but I don't chug them like a soda, I tend to nurse them along all day long and generally don't drink more than one a day. I figure it can't be any worse than the guys who drink soda all day long, and it's certainly healthier than smoking or dipping, which is a habit that plenty of mechanics have. As far as being young, it's all relative, I'm quickly approaching middle age. ;)

It's not all snap-on, I have plenty of other brands of tools in my toolboxes, I just don't buy cheap if I'm going to be using it every day. Spend the money where it counts, save it where it doesn't.

Yeah i love it so far. I am a tech thats only been in the business for 2 years and i traded my craftsman box in for it. Everything barely fits, but its perfect for what i do. I have all 5 drawers in mine.

When i work on a car i have all my tools right in front of me. i love it

Heres my approaching a year old Napa cart. Keep most of my SAE tools in it for my rigs and whatever didn't fit properly in my big tool box.

Anybody turn the bottom of their tool cart/service cart into a cabinet?

I have a cart similar to this:

http://di110.shoppingshadow.com/imag...49x149-0-0.jpg

I want to make the bottom a cabinet as majority of the stuff I keep at the bottom tend to grow feet. So far, I know how I will be doing the sides. I need some Ideas on how to do the back and the doors for the front. Anybody?

When mgmt. bitched to the floor guys about unkept and unruley HF service carts, a lot of them cut down some sheet alum. on the shear and mounted it to the inside or outside of the legs to box in the rear and both sides of the bottom shelf. Most mount it to the inside of the legs via velcro , pop rivets or screws depending up how much each wanted to modify thier carts. YOU can also drill and mount to the existing cart mounting bolts if engineered correctly.

The front door was tricky. Some did dual flap doors, some did a flip up or flip down piano hing door with magnet catch, some tried to made a slide up roll-top-desk type of unit and others just did a velcro door that they removed each day. Security was not a concern in any of the cases just visual tidiness.

All in all the front door and access is the biggest challenge to find a solution to that fits your needs and looks done to the level of professionalism you seek.

Good luck.

Thanks. I'm down to just figuring out the door now. I already know how I want to do the sides and back. Once I figure out how to the door I will start on it.
